The Textile Magazine is the only textile monthly from the South. This Chennai-based journal has the distinction of having been published uninterruptedly since inception in 1959 and has now completed its successful journey of 50 years.
Technological advances made in the textile industry the world over are highlighted in the journal every month. Articles on spinning, weaving, dyeing, processing,knitting, handlooms, textile machinery, apparels & garments, fairs & fashions, etc., with statistical details also appear regularly. From the routine mills, powerlooms and handlooms, the journal’s focus has of late shifted to segments like synthetic yarns and jute as well as technical textiles whose role in the world textile industry has grown considerably. Further, besides participating in events worldwide, a special section for fairs & fashions the main indicator of world demand for apparel wear and dress materials that determines production volume and proftability regularly gives the readers a comprehensive idea of the ever-changing designs and fashions. In a nutshell, it is the only textile publication from India covering the entire textile operations, from yarn to garments.
