Arvind owes its second quarter growth to its brands and retail business

Arvind Limited, one of the largest integrated textile and branded apparel player has recorded a strong growth in the consolidated revenue by 14 per cent at Rs. 1965 crores for the quarter ended 3oth September 2014, as against Rs.1718 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Consolidated EBlDTA is up by 8 per cent at Rs. 242 crores as against Rs. 225 crores in the same period in 2013-14. The company’s profit after tax grew by three per cent to Rs. 97 crores as compared to Rs. 94 crores in the corresponding quarter for the last year.

Commenting on the results of the company, Mr. Jayesh Shah, Director & Chief Financial Officer said, “The revenue growth of 14 per cent is led by 29 per cent growth in brands and retail business with growth of textile business remaining muted. We are pleased to note that all our brands as well as retails formats have achieved decent growth.”
