Statex Engineering is an established name in the field of quality control instruments and compact retrofit. With over 30 years of experience, the Coimbatore-based company’s products have carved a niche for themselves in India as well as abroad.
The company had in 2011 introduced its “Double Compact” with patented technology. Subsequently later in 2015 “Summit Compact” was launched with several new upgraded as well as user-friendly features.
In line with its tradition of coming out with outstanding new, improved products, the company launched its new ‘Legend Compact’ at India-ITME 2016 in Mumbai.
Terming the product as yet another milestone, Mr. K. Subramaniam, Managing Director of the company, said: “We will be commencing commercial supply of the Legend Compact from July next. Needless to say that the performance of the Legend Compact has been top notch. In the new product, each and every component has been analyzed and designed to achieve superior quality of yarn, while at the same time ensuring a lower maintenance cost.”
Some of the main advantages offered by the new Legend Compact are:
- The length of the lattice apron is reduced to 20 per cent, thereby also enabling reduction in the apron cost.
- A “Pressure Pad (P.P)” is usually used under the lattice apron at the bottom of the front top roller of compact. However, in the case of “Legend Compact” a ‘Pressure Roller (P.R)’ is being introduced instead of Pressure Pad (P.P), to have multiple usage after normal running wear. The life increases from one year (P.P) to 12 years (P.R) and each stage lock is provided to hold the pressure roller formally in its all set position.
- “Cots” of the compact roller diameter reduced from 40mm to 30mm. Since both rollers are of same diameter it leads to easy maintenance as well as price reduction by about 30%.
- Each lattice apron pre-tensioned by spring loaded independent tension guide bar. The key advantages of independent tension guide bar for each lattice apron avoids the lapping of cotton at lattice apron and improve the consistency in quality of yarn.
· The suction tube top nose is guarded with special material having lower co-efficient of friction. This material can be changed. This in turn ensures guarding of the suction tube from normal wear and tear and ensures its longevity.
