Machines for special applications – Advanced Double-Jersey Jacquards

With its machine range Terrot offers the means to produce a large variety of knitted fabrics for several applications, from fashion and sportswear supported by transfer technique and Interlock Mini Jacquard or home textiles such as special mattress ticking machines to transfer and spacer technology for technical textiles. Among the latest models are the Double-Electronic Jacquard UCC548E2 (two-way-technique) and UCC548E3 (3-Way-Technique) with electronic control both in dial and cylinder. This allows various pattern styles on both sides of one fabric. The UCC548TR is developed for knitting in Electronic-Jacquard Transfer Relief for fashion textiles.

The site of production for Terrot brand machines and the headquarters of the Terrot Group is located in Chemnitz, Saxony, which was in the past and is today once again a competitive centre for technological innovation. Previously prosperous industries such as the automotive supplier industry, machine construction and the textile industry are also engines for growth today.

Besides, Terrot has expanded its business with Terrot Italy S.r.l., which produces circular knitting machines of the brand Pilotelli Macchine Tessili and two other factories abroad.

Sinkerless Technology – Pilotelli Macchine Tessili

Circular knitting machines of the brand Pilotelli Macchine Tessili stand for solid and fast production of Single-Jersey fabrics, especially sinkerless technology.

High-Speed Single-Jersey equipped for the ultra-high production of Piqué

The SL4 version, the latest generation of sinkerless range, incorporates the newly-engineered technology that is patented by Terrot.

Easy to use, the Pilotelli Sinkerless Technology guarantees high output and reduced maintenance. The stitch forming technique on SL4 high-speed machine is in a stationary point of the cylinder. Consequently, it obtains a superior uniformity of the stitch and absence of vertical lines.

Terrot’s production site in Cazzago San Martino provides efficient and modern capacities for all manufacturing steps, from cylinder and sinker ring cutting to complete machinery assembly. Especially the production line for cylinder manufacture opens up future potential for additional sales in the business of spare parts and subcontracting.

CORIZON making future fabrics available today

Terrot’s latest innovation, launched at ITMA 2015 is the next step towards even more advanced and efficient production of circular knitted fabrics: It all started with the idea of accelerating the textile manufacturing process by producing yarn directly at the knitting machine. The result is the revolutionary corizon Technology, which allows operators to develop and fine-tune yarn and material characteristics directly on the machine. It creates entirely new fabrics and garments that offer an unmatched premium standard of future fabrics!

Redefining fabric quality

Terrot is once again poised to revolutionize textile production with its latest development. By now, the original idea of shortening the textile manufacturing process has been surpassed by even more impressive benefits.

“The new technology grants much more flexibility and puts textile manufacturers and designers a lot closer to their customers’ needs,” explains Terrot Managing Director Thomas Mutschler. “With corizon, one can directly control the properties of the finished fabric, so it turns out exactly the way it is needed.”

Terrot has designed a technology for creation of fabrics with remarkable features such as soft touch, evenness, great brilliance, opacity and the comfort of lightweight. Producers benefit from time, space and material savings due to a highly efficient production process.

Corizon technology generates a core yarn by combining a core filament which is surrounded by parallel fibers. Individual fibers wind around the outside like a corkscrew. This structure generates sufficient strength and safety for transporting the yarn from the corizon system to any circular knitting machine.

Besides these great benefits, the company can ensure perfect Lycra plating and corizon can be combined with mechanical circular knitting machines of any kind, therefore not only single-jersey, then also rib and interlock structures can be knitted.

Terrot for the Indian market

Terrot offers Single-Jersey and Double-Jersey machines with feature configuration for all price segments. With Interlock machine I2108, 8-Lock/Rib I3P154 or high-speed Single-Jersey machine S296, productivity can be increased. As there is strong demand for technical textiles not only in India, investing in Double-Jersey machines for transfer, or jacquard technique for mattress ticking and spacer fabrics, is a step to further upgrade Indian textile production portfolios.

The product range is set to meet the ongoing trend towards advanced machinery with improved productivity, supporting the set-up of integrated textiles parks as well as answering demands of smaller niche production or development clusters for textile industry. Especially in the growing market of technical textiles, more advanced machinery and machine operator training will be required in future. Therefore, Terrot customers are offered add-on services such as machine portfolio consultation, operator training and on-site support by its strong Indian representatives and partners.
