GT Korea to be held in 2018

GT KOREA (Korea International Garment Machinery and Textile Industry Fair), which was not held since the ‘Seoul International Sewing Machinery Exhibition (SIMEX2005) in 2005, will be held at KINTEX, Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do for three days from November 14 to 16 with a new title.

Even though South Korea is one of the World’s greatest sewing powerhouses, it has not been equipped with a specialized exhibition of international scale due to the recession in the domestic market. As a result of the questionnaire survey on the related companies by Monthly Bobbin Journal, more than 90% of the companies felt the significance and necessity of holding a domestic exhibition for garment machinery and textile.

Accordingly, it was confirmed that GT Korea, organized by Korea Sewing Machinery Industrial Association which was the former organizer of SIMEX (Seoul International Sewing Machinery Exhibition), co-organized by SeoulMESSE International Ltd, Monthly Bobbin Journal, JES MEDIA, INC. will be held in 2018 when CISMA and ITMA, the world’s largest exhibition in the field of sewing and textile machinery, will not take place.

GT KOREA 2018 will be held with 120 companies and 400 booths, attracting key international companies in China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia which are core nations for sawing and textile industry as well as domestic companies.

“We will focus our efforts on attracting leading overseas buyers and will do our best to help exhibitors achieve satisfactory overseas marketing effects. In addition, the exhibition is expected to play a role as a marketing platform to lead the changing market to higher value added-business such as smart fiber, technical textile market” says the Event Organiser.
