Mr. S. Hari Shankar, Joint Managing Director of Lakshmi Card Clothing Mfg. Co. Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore, has been elected Chairman of the India International Textile Machinery Exhibitions Society (India ITME Society) for 2017-2021. The Vice Chairmen elected are Mr. Mehul Trivedi of Indian Card Clothing Co. Ltd., Mr. Kaizar Z. Mahuwala of Gurjar Gravures Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Sanjay K. Jain of Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), Mr. Arvind Sinha of the Textile Association (India), and Ms. Surina Rajan of the Bureau of Indian Standards. Mr. Ketan Sanghvi of Laxmi Shuttleless Looms Pvt. Ltd., has been chosen the Hon. Treasurer.
An alumni of Philadelphia College of Textiles & Sciences of the US, Mr. Hari Shankar is also on the Board of Directors of Prathishta Wvg. & Knitting Co. Ltd., and a Governing Council member of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore. He is also on the Board of the Executive Council of Textile Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (India) (TMMA) since 2001 and also held the position of Chairman of TMMA from 2011-2013.
