Schlafhorst and Zinser

Zinser – the pathway to a more profitable future

Zinser presents at ITMA ASIA 2016 future-oriented strategies for personnel-free, process-oriented and highly efficient production. With the Autoflow automation solution, ZinserSpeed 5A roving frame as well as Zinser 72 and 71 systems, the textile machinery manufacturer paves the way to a more profitable future for its customers. The new ZinserSpeed 5A consumes 20 % less energy. The Zinser 72 with 2,016 spindles is the longest and most economical platform for ring and compact spinning whose innovative suction technology consumes up to 66 % less energy. The Impact FX self-cleaning compact unit for the Zinser 71 and Zinser 72 eliminates personnel-intensive cleaning intervals. Zinser also demonstrates how flexibly the Zinser 71 and 72 can be integrated into Autoflow systems. More growth and return on investment from an automated process chain, Zinser makes it possible.

Autoconer 6: the benchmark for winding efficiency and textile value creation

The Autoconer 6 is the final piece in the jigsaw for completing the textile technological value creation in the spinning and winding processes of Zinser and Schlafhorst. With its smart sensor technology, it is ideally equipped to deliver perfect, individually automated processes. Innovations such as Launch – Control, SmartCycle, SmartJet and Speedster FX boost productivity by up to 12 % compared with previous models. The new Eco-Drum-Drive system, SmartCycle and the intelligent vacuum control system “Power on Demand” reduce energy consumption on the Autoconer 6 by up to 20 %. The machine maintains its considerable technological lead in value creation, with the Autoconer package remaining the benchmark for quality and added value in downstream processing.

Rotor spinning machines from Schlafhorst: the production platforms of the future.

The new Autocoro 9 with its individual spinning position technology sets new records for energy consumption, productivity, economic efficiency, ease of operation and quality in the fully automated ma- chine segment. It is a strong driver of optimised textile value creation in the textile process chain: 25 % lower energy consumption, 19 % reduction in spinning costs, proven rotor speeds of 180,000 rpm, take-up speeds of 300 m/min and a 60 % lower servicing outlay are just some of its outstanding performance features. The semi-automatic BD product series is also in a league of its own. It produces extremely economical packages in Autocoro quality up to 320 mm in diameter. Up to 10 % less energy consumption, extremely fast take-up speeds of 230 m/min on all lengths of machine and improved use of available space reduce spinning costs and increase the profitability of spinning mills in the semi- automatic segment.

Plant Operation Center – big data for greater efficiency

Spinning mills with the Plant Operation Center (POC) from Saurer Schlafhorst and Zinser use its production and quality data to improve efficiency. For example, with the Off-Standard Analysis system they are able to optimise maintenance intervals and increase productivity and yarn quality thanks to perfectly timed interventions.

CompactTwister sets new standards

With the CompactTwister, Saurer is presenting its high-performance twisting machine for staple fibre yarns, which has been awarded the E³ label for triple added value. Energy savings of up to 40 % can be achieved with the eco-drive concept and eco-spindle technology with coordinated spindle combinations. The systematically integrated HD feeds set new standards in energy savings and optimised feed weights for efficient downstream processing. The productivity of the CompactTwister is 30 % higher, thanks to high delivery speeds of up to 120 m/min. Operating costs drop as a result of lower energy, space and maintenance costs.

CableCorder CC4 – twist & save with E³ technology

With its future-oriented technology, the CableCorder CC4 cabling machine, which has been awarded the Saurer E³ label, offers energy savings of up to 50 % in the tire cord cabling process. Since energy represents by far the most significant cost factor in the overall cabling process, this promises revolutionary production cost savings for manufacturers of tire cord. The higher economic efficiency is also increased by up to 50 % fewer yarn breaks, improved quality and high machine efficiency. An innovative enhancement of the machine to the production of 2-ply tire cord is the option for producing also 3- ply tire cord in a single-stage process.

Epoca 7 – the innovative embroidery system

Productivity on a new level of high performance

In addition to energy savings of up to 5 %, Saurer’s customers can benefit from a 20 % increase in productivity. The Epoca 7 achieves an embroidery speed of up to 700 rpm, and is therefore up to 18 % faster than the previous generation. Apart from an increase in production speed, additional functions have been optimised and improved to achieve an overall performance increase of up to 20 %.

Embroidery quality and technology for all market requirements

Innovative solutions lead to unparalleled adjustment options and top quality production at the touch of a button. This is guaranteed by new technologies on the needle side, such as individual thread guide activation, the newly developed thread delivery and the flat yarn path with gentle yarn treatment. The new electronic thread monitors detect yarn breaks more quickly and more precisely. The new precise thread cut ensures trouble-free production of high-quality embroidery.

HeadLine System – the unique application solution

The new enhanced Headline System is presented at the show for the first time. It is a complete system with different electronically powered application heads for cords, ribbons and various sequins. The HeadLine System captivates through its precision even at top production speeds. Furthermore, it allows the operator to quickly and easily interchange and individually position each application head. The ergonomic lift system provides an optimal view of the embroidery area and gives unobstructed access to the entire embroidery height.

The business unit Saurer Components presents at ITMA ASIA reasoned solutions for staple and manmade fibres.

Accotex® AccoSmart the new sandwich cot based upon a completely new revolutionary technology platform. A development found on two individual tailor-made high quality elastomer layers; a softer inner layer and a harder outer layer. A larger contact area compared to conventional soft rubber cots results in an improved and stable yarn quality over the lifetime of the cot. Accosmart cots ensure long lifetime with less maintenance, less machine breakdowns and reduced costs.

Texparts® PK2600 Series ready for compact spinning

Texparts PK 2630 SE and PK 2630 SHE weighting arms are designed to be retrofittable with the two compact systems of well-known suppliers. The front roller load can be set optimally and fully inde- pendently from the nip roller load which provides no interference between nip and front top roller.

Texparts compact systems are used on standard weighting arms with no loss in the lapping reserve. Engineered to fit on almost all machine types benefit spinners worldwide from all proven PK 2600 series features and consequently improved yarn quality.

Daytex® Shrinkage Belts leading for more than 50 years are engineered to produce the best quality for all different shrinkage applications. Crack resistance under heavy loads, outstanding heat and chemical resistance, which results in exceptional long life for all fabric types are main features of Daytex Shrinkage belts. The unique homogenous belt structure provides constant shrinkage results during the entire product lifetime, and a “Curved Edge” minimizing the risk of edge cracking and improves the belt performance further.

Daytex uses 100% pure first-rate natural rubber from carefully selected plantations for a constant product quality.

Fibrevison® Fraytec FV2 broken filament monitoring boasts increased trigger optics with software selection of fault size. The broken filament faults are measured with fault size options available for 3mm, 4.5mm and 6mm from the yarn. Further features are improved noise immunity and connectors, central optic for denier variation and interlace measurement, the integration with Fraycam 2 and FV2 is capable of handling up to 12 end winders.

The latest high speed roller-bearing Separator Roller Temco® VR50300-00-HS designed to replace air bearing separator rollers and therefore save high compressed air costs. Integrated bearings in hybrid technology lower the starting torque and frictional torque in operating speed in comparison to air bearing separator rollers known for their low friction.

The VR50300-00-HS, which stands for High Speed, can be applied for a wide variety of spinning pro- cesses, and in the Hotbox with a max. yarn temperature of 190°C and a max. yarn speed of 5,500 m/min.
