Katare Spinning Mills Ltd. will be commissioning a one mw solar power project with tracking system for captive consumption. Annually it will generate about 19 lakh units of electricity which will result in a saving of Rs. 8 per unit for the company.
Intended to reduce the cost of production substantially, such an experiment is sure to brighten the future of the Indian textile industry and set a new benchmark.
