Portescap has introduced the P532 series disc magnet step motor with encoder. This integrated solution delivers a best-in-class power rate and acceleration to outperform standard brushless DC motors in a wide range of applications where closed loop performance is needed.
The P532 series motor has a diameter of 52mm, length of up to 55 mm and rated torque of 0.2 Nm (boosted up to 0.5 Nm). This allows it to deliver fantastic dynamic performance such as acceleration of up to 400K rad/sec2. Such a performance is well suited for applications where rapid changes in rotation are required. Application examples include electronic yarn guide, medical XY tables and robotics.
