For more than 160 years, Benninger has stood as a trusted global name in textile machinery. The Swiss company has been a pioneer in innovative dyeing and finishing technologies that continue to set benchmarks worldwide. In recent years, its FabricMaster soft flow dyeing machine has been making strong inroads into the Indian market. What makes the success story even more significant is that FabricMaster is now being manufactured at Benninger’s modern fabrication facility in Pune, ensuring world-class technology with the advantage of local support.

One of the latest success stories comes from Lucky Process, a Tirupur-based textile company known for its strong commitment to quality. A team from The Textile Magazine visited the company’s bustling facility to understand how the FabricMaster has helped transform operations.
A Journey Built on Quality
Since its establishment in 1990, Lucky Process has carved a niche in the competitive Tirupur textile hub with its uncompromising focus on quality. Over the years, the company has expanded from a dyeing facility into a vertically integrated unit with knitting, finishing, and most recently, a garmenting division. Today, its dyeing operations alone handle over 12 tons of knitted fabric per day, making dyeing the heart of its operations.
“Right from inception, quality has been our guiding principle,” says Vishnu Vardhan, Director of Lucky Process. “We have always invested in strengthening our infrastructure because we believe that better technology translates into better quality.”

It was this philosophy that led the company to explore Benninger’s FabricMaster. “We first heard about the machine in 2023 and later saw it live at a trade show. The capabilities impressed us immediately. By late 2024, we decided to order a 500 kg capacity FabricMaster, which was installed and commissioned in March 2025. This machine was special to us because it was our first to feature European technology, while also being manufactured in India. It has already proven to be a wise decision,” he recalls.
Performance That Speaks for Itself
Before the FabricMaster, Lucky Process was relying on a locally made machine. The difference, according to Vishnu, has been night and day. “With FabricMaster, we are now able to save up to 30% time compared to our earlier setup. That means we can process an additional batch every day, which translates into huge savings and improved productivity,” he says.
The machine ensures optimal dye penetration and color consistency, thanks to its advanced design. Its adjustable nozzle can be precisely set according to fabric weight—using lower liquor volumes for lightweight fabrics and higher flow for heavier ones. Meanwhile, the internal fabric plaiter adapts its speed for different fabric types, and the automated add tank guarantees accurate chemical dosing and mixing. The result is not only uniform quality but also smoother, more reliable operations.
Ease of use is another major plus. Despite its sophistication, FabricMaster is designed for user-friendliness. “The machine may be modern and advanced, but it’s also very easy to operate. With basic training, even a semi-literate operator can handle it comfortably,” Vishnu notes.
Taking on Challenging Fabrics
Lucky Process has earned a reputation for handling specialized fabrics such as velour, polar fleece, and knitted terry—all of which present unique challenges in dyeing. According to Vishnu, FabricMaster has handled these demanding fabrics with ease. “It doesn’t matter how complex the requirement is, the FabricMaster performs consistently,” he affirms.
A Perfect Fit for Sustainability Goals
Beyond quality and productivity, sustainability has always been central to Lucky Process. The company operates as a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) unit and runs entirely on solar power. Here too, the FabricMaster aligns perfectly with its green vision. “The machine consumes less water and electricity, and ensures right-first-time results with minimal wastage. That not only saves costs but also reduces our environmental footprint,” says Vishnu Vardhan.
Reliable After-Sales Support
In today’s competitive environment, after-sales service often makes the crucial difference. Vishnu Vardhan is effusive about Benninger’s support. “Since installation, the service team has been extremely proactive. Their engineers visit regularly, give us a patient hearing, and are always open to feedback. We’ve not faced any major issues so far, and that gives us great confidence.”
Looking Ahead
With its garmenting unit now operational, Lucky Process is gearing up for ambitious expansion, particularly in global export markets. Given the FabricMaster’s performance, the company’s future machinery choices seem clear. “As we expand our product portfolio and add capacity, we will definitely add more FabricMasters. For us, it’s a no-brainer. The machine has proven itself, and Benninger has earned our trust,” Vishnu Vardhan signs off with a smile.
