Established in 2006, Tesco Engineering Corporation has swiftly carved out a niche in the realm of industrial energy solutions. Headquartered in Coimbatore, the company is dedicated to designing and delivering cutting-edge, power-saving ventilation systems tailored for demanding industrial environments. At the heart of its product portfolio is its flagship range—‘Tesco Fans’—built to redefine energy efficiency across sectors.

“We started small in Coimbatore. Over the years, we have been able to make a significant mark in the market with our products. It has been an exciting journey so far, surmounting challenges and making a sincere effort to give the market something innovative and special,” stated Mr. R. Devaganeshan, Senior Project Director of Tesco Engineering Corporation, in an exclusive interaction.
A milestone year
The financial year 2024–2025 has proven to be a landmark period for the company. Tesco collaborated with the Indian Texpreneurs Federation (ITF) to install over 650 high-efficiency fans in textile mills across Tamil Nadu. “This has resulted in a collective savings of 69, 08,025 kWh of electricity as of April 2025,”
noted Mr.Devaganeshan.
These numbers are not just impressive—they’re indicative of a deepening impact. “We have also made substantial inroads into major textile mills, especially those with over 1, 00,000 spindles, further establishing our leadership in energy efficiency solutions for the textile industry,” he added.
Products that power progress
Tesco’s product lineup caters to a wide range of industries, each solution engineered with performance and sustainability in mind.

“At Tesco Engineering Corporation, we design and manufacture power-saving industrial fans tailored for high-demand applications,” said Mr. Devaganeshan. “Our robust and reliable solutions are available in diameters of 900mm, 1200mm, 1400mm, 1600mm, and 1800mm.”
Industries served include:
- Textile Mills: High-efficiency fans for improved airflow, temperature regulation, and
reduced energy use. - Steel Plants: Heavy-duty compressor cooler fans for superior heat dissipation.
- Mining: Engine and radiator cooling fans built to withstand extreme operational
conditions. - Power Plants: Optimized fans for enhanced energy management.
- Diesel Generators: Reliable cooling systems for large-capacity gensets.
- Heat Exchangers: Precision fans for effective thermal control.
- Agricultural Sprayers: Lightweight fans that ensure uniform spray distribution.
- Anti-Smog Guns: Air purification solutions that actively combat urban air pollution.
World-Class manufacturing
Tesco’s manufacturing facility spans over 5,000 square feet and houses every key operation under one roof.
“We have got all key operations under one roof—manufacturing, stocking, assembly, fan balancing, packaging, and dispatch,” said Mr. Devaganeshan. The company has the capacity to produce up to 3,000 fans per month. What sets Tesco apart is the synergy between its in-house design team and its production floor.
“Our design team operates right within the shop floor, enabling seamless collaboration and swift customization. This close integration allows us to tailor every solution precisely to our clients’ specifications,” he explained.
Competitive edge
Tesco’s innovations are deeply rooted in real-world applications, especially in the industrial retrofit market. “We take pride in being a pioneer in the industrial power-saving fans market segment. Tesco Fans are uniquely designed for real-time, plug-and-play power savings, particularly in humidification retrofit projects,” Mr. Devaganeshan emphasized.
“Our fans can replace conventional motor-driven systems and deliver energy savings of 10–35%, with a guaranteed ROI in just 6–8 months. This practical value proposition, combined with our unmatched domain expertise, makes Tesco the go-to partner for industries looking to optimize energy usage,” he elaborated.
Pushing boundaries through innovation
Tesco’s R&D team continues to innovate with solutions that not only solve current industry problems but also set new benchmarks. “Innovation is at the heart of what we do,” Mr. Devaganeshan affirmed. “One of our breakthrough solutions addressed a long-standing issue—frequent motor failures due to overheating and overload. Our engineering team developed ultra-lightweight fan blades, reducing motor load by up to 80% and significantly increasing motor lifespan.”
While earlier attempts using FRP (Fiber-Reinforced Plastic) blades fell short on durability, Tesco’s proprietary design has overcome those limitations with superior strength and performance. “We’re now developing blades for centrifugal fans—a new frontier in our R&D journey. These are currently in the testing phase and are expected to hit the market in the coming months,” he added.
Driving sustainable manufacturing
Tesco’s impact goes beyond performance—it contributes to a greener future. “Our power-saving fans directly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, making them an integral part of any sustainable manufacturing ecosystem,” noted Mr. Devaganeshan. “The fans are easy to install, cost-effective, and deliver long-term savings—empowering industries to go green without compromising performance,” Mr. Devaganeshan explained.
Vision for the future
Looking ahead, Tesco is aiming for broader horizons. “We are currently focused on expanding across North India and scaling our operations worldwide. By 2030, we envision Tesco Engineering Corporation as a global leader in industrial ventilation, delivering intelligent and sustainable air movement solutions to industries wherever it is critical,” Mr. Devaganeshan said, signing off.
