In a year marked by geopolitical instability, tariff challenges, and global market fluctuations, Italy-based Color Service s.r.l. has continued to demonstrate innovation and steady growth in 2025. With a very long expertise in textile automation and dosing technologies, the company remains a trusted partner for mills worldwide, helping them modernize production and meet rising expectations for quality and efficiency. In an exclusive interaction, Victor Macovei, Regional Sales Manager, Color Service, spoke about the company’s performance, latest innovations, focus on India, and participation at the upcoming ITMA ASIA 2025 in Singapore.

Stable Growth in Turbulent Times
The global textile industry has not had an easy ride in recent years, but Color Service has managed to maintain steady growth. “Demand for automation remains robust because customers continue to focus on optimizing production and removing inefficiencies. Compared to last year, our performance has improved, and we remain optimistic about the upcoming quarter,” noted Victor.
Lab-Scale Innovation making real world impact
In 2025, Color Service introduced several upgrades to its automatic dosing systems for laboratory scale, focusing on accuracy, repeatability, and faster development cycles. A newly launched software platform now manages formulations and data in a smarter, more intuitive way.

At ITMA ASIA 2025, Color Service will highlight its fully automated laboratory system, which integrates a solution preparation unit with dyeing modules. Visitors can expect a live demonstration on how automation can drastically improve R&D and bulk dyeing consistency.
India: A Market of Strategic Importance
India continues to be one of the company’s most important markets despite the impact of U.S. tariffs. Victor explained: “India remains one of our most important and promising markets. The overall investment climate is positive, and our solutions are aligned with the needs of Indian manufacturers who are investing in modern dyeing operations.”

Color Service is expanding its local technical team that is providing 24/7 support and leveraging its strong partnership with A.T.E. to improve customer service. The company aims to double its presence in India over the next 2–3 years.
Supporting the Shift to MMF Wave
India’s textile industry is rapidly developing man-made fibers (MMF) and investing in new dyeing and processing facilities. Victor sees this as a significant opportunity: “MMF processing often requires more complex chemical recipes and process control. Our dispensing systems are ideally suited to meet the reproducibility and accuracy required for synthetic and blended fibers.”
Drawing on its experience in MMF-heavy markets like China and Taiwan, Color Service is well placed to support Indian manufacturers for these projects.
Competing on Customization and Experience
In a competitive market with several global players, Color Service differentiates itself through unmatched expertise, customization capabilities, and exceptional after-sales service. The company also brings cross-industry knowledge, enabling customers to increase their profit, innovate and adapt faster.
Color Service’s recent initiatives go beyond replacing manual labor—they aim to redefine how mills operate. Its advanced real-time process software and remote diagnostics help prevent batch failures and reduce costly reworks. The company has also launched a new generation of laboratory machines that simulate production conditions, enabling mills to validate recipes before scaling up, thereby saving water, energy, and raw materials.
Sustainability in every solution
Color Service helps mills reduce water consumption, eliminate chemical waste, and lower energy usage. Importantly, they also ensure safer handling of potentially hazardous materials. “Global brands are pushing for greener supply chains, and mills require both environmental and economic benefits. Color Service machines deliver both,” Victor emphasized.
Looking Ahead
While 2025 has presented challenges, the outlook is positive — especially in Asia. Color Service is prepared to keep pushing the industry forward.
“India, in particular, is undergoing a major transformation. Domestic consumption becomes more strategic, and manufacturers are investing in more sustainable, value-added operations,” Victor concluded. “We will continue investing in innovation and expanding our local presence to help our partners build a more resilient and long-term success textile industry.”
