Coimbatore-based Texconn Solutions has emerged as a game-changer in the textile sector, carving a niche for itself with its innovative energy-saving solutions. In just a few years, the company’s range of high-efficiency fans has found pride of place in over 400 mills, with more than 1200 fans, helping textile manufacturers significantly reduce their energy consumption.

In an exclusive interaction, Er. K. Ramesh Babu, C.E.O., of Texconn Solutions, shared the inspiring journey of the company, its unique philosophy, and the road ahead.
From Vision to Reality
Recounting the genesis of Texconn Solutions, Ramesh Babu said, “After completing my electrical engineering in 1990, I spent nearly two decades working in leading textile mills. That experience gave me deep insights into the energy challenges faced by the industry. Even then, I kept thinking—how can we make these systems more efficient? That question stayed with me.”
This passion led to the establishment of M/s. Poweron Projects (BEE Accredited Energy Auditing Firm) in 2009, with Er. Ashok Sethuraman, (BEE Accredited Energy Auditor). By his guidance the firm focused on conducting energy audits exclusively textile mills. Between 2009 and 2024, the firm audited around 800 mills and suggested various energy conservation measures to the spinning mills, including Major Group of Mills. But we realized that our customers often struggled to implement these recommendations effectively, and the anticipated savings weren’t achieved in the stipulated right time,”he explained.

That realization became a turning point. “I understood that to truly help mills, we had to provide them with ready-to-use solutions—not just advice. That’s when I decided to get into product development, and M/s. Texconn Solutions was born in 2020,” Er. Ramesh Babu said with pride.
Why Fans?
Asked why the company chose to focus on fans, Er.K. Ramesh Babu pointed out, after the Coronas distasted the industries profitability, we started to focus on the cost structure of a spinning Mill along with our audit. We came to understand that the power consumption and its expenses play a major role of spinning mill’s profitability. Among this power cost and power consumption the humidification system accounts for over 10% of a spinning mill’s total energy consumption. I saw an opportunity to reduce that by at least 15%, which would translate to an overall power saving of about 2%—to the significant number for our customers.”

He added, “Most mills were using the same type of old model Aluminum Gravity Die-casted fans that hadn’t seen design changes in over 40 years. It was clear that there was a huge gap that we could address with better technology.”
More than Just a Fan
What sets Texconn apart is its holistic approach. “We don’t just sell fans—we deliver energy-saving solutions,” emphasized Er. Ramesh Babu. “Every product we offer is designed to provide customers with a clear return on investment. We look at the entire cost-benefit equation to ensure that our fans truly add value.”
This commitment has earned the company the trust of major textile groups. “One of our early breakthroughs was when we secured an order for over 300 fans from M/s. Ramco Group of Mills. Our demo installations convinced them, and we’re proud that even after five years, not a single fan has had a major issue. In fact, our fans are designed to run for over 10 years with minimal maintenance,” he shared. By this reputation, we had given Energy saving solution with our Texconn Fans, to M/s. Shanmugavel Group, M/s. Bannari Group and M/s. Premier Group of mills.
Manufacturing Excellence
Texconn’s manufacturing facility in Coimbatore is equipped to produce 20 fans per day. The company imports material for their cutting edge technology design of Aerodynamic leaves, ensuring the highest quality materials. “Quality is non-negotiable for us. Every component—from the imported material and Indigenous,—is chosen to maximize efficiency,” Er. Ramesh Babu noted.

Our fans, designed with special aerofoil blades, deliver higher air volume and static pressure while cutting power consumption by 25%-35%. “What makes us different is that we approach this as energy auditors who understand the textile industry. We back our claims with demos and give our customers time to evaluate performance before committing,” he said.
Future Plans
Looking ahead, Texconn has ambitious plans. “We are currently focused on axial flow fans, but we aim to enter in every mandatory fan usage areas of the spinning mills which can save further 20-30% energy cost. Our R&D team is very keenly working on it and the product will be available in the market by the mid of 2026, Er. Ramesh Babu revealed.
In an industry where energy costs are a major concern, Texconn Solutions stands out not just as a manufacturer, but as a partner in progress—helping textile mills move towards a more sustainable future. We always like contributing to our nation’s strategic energy conservation plans.
