WTT International has been a pioneer in industrial effluent and wastewater treatment for more than two decades. Over that time, the company has developed patented systems that help industries recycle water, recover valuable chemicals and salts, and eliminate wastage of resources. Today, WTT’s portfolio includes a range of add-on technologies – Rewolutte®, CaRe®, Brinex®, the Contaminants – Removal System (CRS), RO 90™and much more – that work together to provide an end – to – end solution for zero – liquid – discharge (ZLD) and circular water management. Anchored by advanced biological aeration at its core, this suite of innovations delivers complete, sustainable solutions with a high return on investment.
This integrated approach doesn’t just treat wastewater; it transforms effluent into a valuable resource. Read on to discover how WTT’s technologies are redefining what’s possible in water management.

Rewolutte®: High – Recovery Reverse Osmosis
At the heart of WTT’s effluent – recovery strategy is Rewolutte®, a single – skid reverse – osmosis (RO) system that delivers exceptionally high recovery rates. The system achieves ≥ 97 % water recovery while producing less than 3 % reject, slashing waste volume compared with conventional RO plants. Rewolutte’s modular design occupies a fraction of the floor space required by typical RO assemblies and uses 15 – 20 % less capital investment. Optimised hydraulics and novel membranes reduce energy consumption and allow complete automation, so operators can monitor performance via a control panel rather than manual oversight. The high – salinity concentrate (120 – 140 GPL) emerging from Rewolutte integrates seamlessly with Brinex unit (Brine Recovery System) in downstream.

Brinex®: Closing the Salt Loop

As RO systems recover water, the concentrate (Reject) stream from the RO typically goes to evaporation. But Brinex® captures this stream and recovers brine with a concentration of 120 – 140 GPL that can directly replace fresh salt in textile processing. By extracting valuable Sulphate/ chloride salts from reject water and returning it to dyeing operations, Brinex® reduces the load on evaporators and cuts salt procurement costs. This technology, when combined with Rewolutte®, drives WTT’s vision of “beyond recovery” by marching towards Zero Liquid Discharge at Zero Cost.
Industry Validation:
WTT International’s innovations have not only advanced technology but also earned the trust of leading textile manufacturers. Among its many success stories, the Vardhman Group, one of India’s largest integrated textile producers, recently placed repeat orders to WTT, one of the orders is for Brinex® system (Purest Brine Recovery) from their process Effluent Stream.
These repeat orders highlight the strong operational confidence clients place in WTT’s automated water-management solutions. Every system is backed by intelligent automation, PLC-SCADA control architecture, and integrated process analytics that enable real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and remote optimisation. By combining smart control systems with robust process engineering, WTT contributes to one goal – sustainable, circular water management with guaranteed performance.
CaRe®: Turning Spent Caustic into a Resource

Textile mercerization generates large volumes of spent caustic soda, which is normally discarded at great cost. WTT’s CaRe® (Caustic Recovery) system uses cross – flow membranes to recover Caustic for reuse. The process removes suspended solids, textile fibres, colour and micro – particles from spent caustic without degrading its chemical strength. CaRe® operates across the highest pH range and can handle high temperatures, making it suitable for caustic streams from mercerization and other chemical processes. Because recovered caustic can be reused in the same process, the technology reduces fresh caustic consumption, lowers effluent load and offers a payback period of less than one year.
CRS: Targeted Removal of Persistent Contaminants
Industrial wastewaters increasingly contain complex chemicals – from high – molecular – weight dyes and oligomers to heavy metals and toxic organics – that defy biological treatment. WTT’s Contaminants – Removal System (CRS) is a patented solution that uses precisely dosed reagents and specialised filtration to eliminate these non – or partially – biodegradable compounds. The system targets contaminants such as oligomers, sulphur black dyes, filamentous bacteria and heavy metals, improving the health of downstream biological stages and ensuring compliance. CRS’s low chemical consumption and customisability make it an essential pre – treatment step for industries facing tightening regulations.
RO 90™: Compact Reverse Osmosis for Small – Scale Needs

To serve small operations requiring high – quality water, WTT developed RO90%™, a compact RO system for treating Raw Water, designed for capacities below 200 KLD. It features a simplified hydraulic layout and intelligent operations that prolongs membrane life and achieves highest recovery rates (90%+) which is not usual for a Smaller scale RO plant. RO90%™ comes pre – assembled for plug – and – play deployment and can purify diverse water sources, making it suitable for boiler – feed makeup, cooling – tower blowdown, humidification systems, irrigation, hotels, hospitals and residential complexes.
Biological System: The Heart of Sustainable Treatment
At the core of WTT’s integrated ZLD framework lies its advanced biological aeration system, engineered to deliver maximum organic load reduction with minimum energy
consumption. The system combines aerobic and anoxic processes in a controlled environment that ensures complete oxidation of organic compounds, stable sludge characteristics, and consistent effluent quality.
Designed for adaptability, WTT’s biological reactors can operate under varying load conditions and handle complex industrial effluents with high COD and BOD levels. Precision air-diffusion grids and intelligent blowers maintain optimum dissolved-oxygen levels, while automated sensors continuously monitor pH, temperature for process stability.
When integrated with CRS (Contaminants Removal System) pre-treatment the biological system ensures a reliable, low-fouling feed for subsequent recovery stages. This synergy allows higher membrane life, improved recovery efficiency, and compliance with stringent discharge norms.
By combining process intelligence with robust engineering, WTT’s biological system forms the living foundation of its circular treatment approach, converting complex effluent streams into water ready for recovery.
A Unified Approach to Circular Water Management
What sets WTT apart is how these technologies interlock. Rewolutte® maximises water recovery while generating concentrated streams that feed Brinex® for additional recovery of resources. CaRe® recycles caustic soda and CRS removes persistent contaminants from biological treatment which increases the performance and health of the Biological system. RO 90™ offers a compact solution for smaller operations. Through this portfolio, WTT enables industries to move beyond compliance and toward circularity, turning what was once effluent into a resource.

By combining innovation with deep operational experience, WTT International demonstrates that sustainable water management is not just a regulatory requirement but a compelling business advantage. Its integrated solutions help customers conserve water, recover valuable resources, reduce energy consumption and shrink their environmental footprint, ultimately paving the way for a resilient water future.
