TechnoSport, India’s largest activewear brand, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tamil Nadu at the Vettri Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave 2026. The MoU was exchanged in the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, C. Joseph Vijay. Under the MoU, TechnoSport will invest ₹130 crore towards the Phase 2 expansion of its existing manufacturing facility in Erode, Tamil Nadu. The expansion will focus on scaling functional activewear manufacturing and is expected to generate over 500 jobs in the region.

The investment marks another step in TechnoSport’s efforts to deepen its manufacturing capabilities as the company scales its activewear business across India. The Phase 2 expansion will support the scale-up of TechnoSport’s activewear fabric manufacturing capacity from the current 25 tonnes per day to 40 tonnes per day by the end of FY27.
Commenting on the announcement, Sunil Jhunjhunwala, Co-founder & Managing Director, TechnoSport, said, “Tamil Nadu has been an important part of TechnoSport’s manufacturing journey. As we grow, we believe scale should create value beyond products by generating employment, strengthening manufacturing capabilities, and contributing to the wider ecosystem around us. This ₹130 crore investment in Erode represents another important step in that journey. We thank the Government of Tamil Nadu for its continued support and partnership as we build the next phase of TechnoSport’s growth in the state.”
TechnoSport has built its business around a vertically integrated manufacturing model that gives the company greater control across fabric development, production, quality, and speed to market. As the brand scales, investments in manufacturing remain central to its ambition of making functional, performance-led activewear accessible to a wider base of Indian consumers.
The company reaches consumers through 16,000+ retail touchpoints across more than 20 states, supported by a network of 40+ super stockists. TechnoSport operates 66+ exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) across India and is working towards expanding the network to approximately 130 EBOs by the end of FY27, alongside 25 TechnoSport Express stores. The brand sells more than 25 million units annually, underscoring the scale of its presence across established and emerging markets.
TechnoSport closed FY26 with revenue of approximately ₹600 crore and is targeting ₹1,000 crore in FY27. Its next phase of growth is being supported by continued investments across manufacturing, retail, distribution, and technology, as the company expands its reach across India.
