In a strong push towards making Uttar Pradesh a $1 trillion economy and a global investment destination, Invest UP and the Directorate of Handloom & Textiles, Uttar Pradesh, are participating in Gartex Texprocess India 2025, being held in Mumbai from May 22 to May 24.
During the inaugural session, Shashank Chaudhary, ACEO of Invest UP , highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s rapid economic transformation and robust policy ecosystem. He further stated that under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state is steadily progressing toward becoming a $1 trillion economy. With investor-friendly policies, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as one of India’s most attractive investment destinations. He also showcased the state’s strategic advantages, including skilled manpower, robust infrastructure, and an innovation- and employment-driven textile policy.
“Uttar Pradesh, home to a rich textile heritage from Banarasi weaves to Lucknow’s chikankari, is now combining tradition with modernity. The upcoming PM Mitra mega textile park in Lucknow and a range of incentives under the U.P. Textile and Garmenting Policy – 2022 make UP a promising hub for textile manufacturing,” he said, inviting investors to be part of UP’s growth story.
The inauguration was graced by key industry leaders and dignitaries, including Hon’ble Minister of Textiles, Government of Maharashtra, Shri Sanjay Savkare. As part of the event, Shri K.P. Verma, Joint Commissioner, Handloom & Textiles, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Shri Anuruddha Kshatriya, General Manager, Invest UP, delivered an insightful presentation highlighting the incentives offered under the U.P. Textile & Garment Policy – 2022, showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s commitment to fostering growth and investment in the textile sector.
Throughout the three-day event, senior officials from Invest UP and the Handloom & Textiles Department will hold meetings with stakeholders, highlighting the state’s investor-friendly ecosystem and opportunities in the textile and garment sectors. The focus will be on facilitating partnerships and showcasing the ease of doing business through single-window clearances, enabling seamless industry establishment in the state.
