KTL Machines: Bringing Global Textile Technology to Indian Manufacturers

Founded in 2005 by Mr. Anil Chopra and Mr. Piyush Khurana, KTL Machines has evolved from a modest trading enterprise into a trusted name in India’s textile machinery landscape. What began as an importer of embroidery threads and machines from China has, under two decades of strategic expansion, grown into a comprehensive solutions provider offering cutting-edge technology across embroidery, printing, knitting, and non-woven segments. Today, under the leadership of Mr. Milan Khatri, CEO, the company continues its mission to deliver reliable, high-performance textile machinery to Indian manufacturers.
A Broad Portfolio of World-Class Machinery
KTL Machines represents a carefully curated range of global brands renowned for innovation and reliability. Its product portfolio includes digital printing machines (both sublimation with Foil and direct printing), Ink & Sublimation Paper, embroidery machines, circular knitting machines, and non-woven bag-making machines.
The company has also partnered exclusively with top-tier Chinese and Taiwanese manufacturers such as FEIYING, YUEMEI, PROMAKER, WELLKNIT, XEDA, XMAY, ZX, OYANG, and HUABO, among others. “Our motto is simple — we sell only quality machines,” says Mr. Khatri. “Each brand we associate with represents the best in its category, ensuring our customers get world-class technology and dependable performance.”

WELLKNIT – Precision and Innovation in Knitting
Among KTL’s strongest associations is its partnership with WELLKNIT, a globally respected manufacturer of circular knitting machines. Established in 1987 in Taiwan, WELLKNIT set up its modern manufacturing base in Quanzhou in 1995, becoming one of the earliest Taiwanese leaders to expand into mainland China.
KTL Machines began representing WELLKNIT in India in 2015 after an extensive evaluation of global knitting machinery brands. “We were looking for a manufacturer that combined precision, quality, and value, and WELLKNIT fit perfectly,” explains Mr. Khatri. Since then, WELLKNIT machines have found strong acceptance across India’s knitting hubs, particularly in Tirupur, Surat, Ludhiana, and Kolkata, where manufacturers are upgrading to premium-grade knitting systems.
“WELLKNIT is known for precision engineering and consistent fabric quality,” he notes. “Their new manufacturing complex in China is the largest of its kind, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery.”
The company has also launched a 45 RPM high-speed circular knitting machine and its latest Jacquard knitting technology, to be showcased at ITMA Asia 2025 in Singapore.

Automation, Service, and Support
KTL understands that strong after-sales support is essential to long-term customer relationships. The company has built a dedicated service team of trained engineers who handle machine installation, technical servicing, and maintenance. To ensure minimal downtime, KTL maintains an inventory of critical spare parts in advance. “Service is the backbone of our business,” says Mr. Khatri. “We ensure every customer receives quick technical support and uninterrupted operations.”
Rising Demand from India’s Knitwear and MMF Segments
India’s knitwear industry is growing rapidly, driven by domestic consumption and export demand. “Earlier, many Indian manufacturers imported quality fabric from China,” Mr. Khatri explains. “Now, with advanced machines like WELLKNIT, Indian producers are achieving the same premium fabric quality locally.”
The momentum is especially strong in the man-made fibre (MMF) sector, where Surat remains a key hub. “Nearly 80–85 percent of the fabric produced in Surat is MMF,” he adds. “Today, manufacturers are blending MMF with natural-fibre-like textures — achieving the feel of cotton or rayon while retaining the performance of synthetics. This is an exciting space for circular knitting technology, and WELLKNIT machines are ideally suited for these applications.”
Future Vision: Expanding Reach and Capabilities
With more than 20 years of experience in the textile machinery business, KTL Machines continues to look ahead. “We keep adding new technologies and improving our product range,” says Mr. Khatri. “Our goal is to provide Indian textile manufacturers with the best global technology, competitive pricing, and reliable service.”

At ITMA Asia 2025, KTL’s principals will showcase the latest in Jacquard circular knitting and seamless knitting machines, reflecting the company’s focus on innovation and high-efficiency production.
As India’s textile industry embraces automation, digitalization, and MMF innovation, KTL Machines stands out as a bridge connecting world-class technology with the needs of Indian manufacturers — helping them produce better fabrics, faster, and more sustainably than ever before.
