The plant is fully automated with 100,000 spindles. With a manufacturing capacity of 22,000 tonnes per annum it is spread across 25 acres of land built at an estimated cost of approximately Rs. 450 crores. The plant has started commercial production.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Vasundhara Raje observed: “We in Rajasthan are committed towards forging partnerships that promote manufacturing and create employment opportunities in the State. This effort by the Pittie Group is an excellent example of development realised by effective governance – a pillar of the Rajasthan Model of Development. Our mission of ‘Make in Rajasthan’ is complementing the PM’s vision of ‘Make in India’”.

Mr. Chirag Pittie, Managing Director, SV Pittie Group, said: “We are privileged and fortunate to be one of the first investments to fructify under ‘Resurgent Rajasthan’. We are also proud to have commissioned our plant within a record time of just under 9 months. Projects like ours will be helping the Rajasthan government to generate sustainable employment”.

He added: “As part of the package, we also have derived significant advantages like interest subsidy, VAT benefit and electricity duty rebate. Our capacity will increase to 200,000 owned spindles as the new plant will produce high quality compact yarn of count 20 to 60. The plant will consume almost 25,000 MT of cotton annually, which will provide employment to over 500 people directly and be a stable source of livelihood to more than 30,000 farmers. The plant will manufacture combed compact yarn, which sells at a premium in the market over other yarns and commands higher margins”.

The plant is fully automated with the most modern technology from blow room to winding. The entire plant & machinery has been selected from the state-of-the-art machinery of reputed global companies like RIETER, USTER, ELECTRO-JET, LOEPFE, LMW and SCHLAFHORST.

The yarn is tested in the world-class quality control lab, equipped with the latest technology and Quality Control practices using testing machines aimed to achieve the highest quality standards. Consistency in yarn quality parameters like yarn evenness, hairiness, strength, and classimat value will be tested and monitored and finally each and every individual cone passes through the ultra violet room to detect shade variation.

Other equipment like link coners, auto-doffers, bobbin transport system, etc., have also been deployed to increase the efficiency and reduce the operational cost of the plant as well.

Shri Vallabh Pittie Group-promoted Platinum Textiles Ltd., set up in 1993, manufactures polyester & cotton blended yarn. With a manufacturing capacity of over 200,000 spindles the company is a major player in the yarn industry. The other manufacturing facilities at Ramnad, Coimbatore and Palani manufacture cotton yarn, compact yarn, citra yarn, PC blended yarn, and open end yarn. Located in close proximity to each other and major textile hubs, the total installed capacity of these three units is 100,000 spindles. They make yarns of count ranges 6 to 70.
