Bianco expanding manufacturing capacity

The Alba Municipality has given its approval for Bianco’s opening of its industrial project that includes the group relocation in the former industrial area of Miroglio Textile. The site, in disuse for years, includes the old management office building and approximately 120,000 m2 of land which Bianco Spa intends to refurbish to relocate its commercial headquarters and some of its industrial activities.

“Thanks to the great urban redevelopment project of the site located at Strada Tagliata”, explains Giuseppe Bernocco, CEO of the TCN Group, of which Bianco Spa is part. “Alba and the surrounding municipalities will benefit from the progressive employment growth and enjoy the environmental benefits that the ambitious project will bring to this degraded local industrial area”.

“The Strada Tagliata investment”, says Bernocco, “is part of a three-year plan approved by the group, that aims to create a new technical textile and precision mechanics production centre. The centre will be used for innovative activities, such as research and development of new textile technologies, designing and planning new product packaging and handling lines and precision mechanics applied to industrial components. Once the project is completed by 2018, the number of Bianco employees will have reached 300”.

The group, which currently operates from Italy, China and India, employs a total of 220 persons, including workers, office staff and management, plus an extra 45 people employed through agencies. All these numbers are set to grow as the business expands.

Talking of how is the year ending, from Bianco Spa’s perspective, he observes: “The turnover is up and we can already foresee good margins for 2016. I believe that taking on new markets means that we have been able to put together a productive team that works with enthusiasm and is happy to take on new challenges. Our staff, of competent and motivated people work efficiently as a team and are well prepared and focussed on achieving ambitious ‘customer satisfaction’ targets.”

The company engineers are professionals with great experience, passionate and dedicated. “We are, to all intents and purposes, a young and dynamic company, with an impressive history, experience and professionalism, elements that today still make the difference, especially when it comes to entering new markets, which is something we have the necessary ‘know-how’ and level of expertise to do. Furthermore, we are a qualified and highly appreciated expression of “Made in Italy”, always on the front line when it comes to research and develop new state-of-the-art products, with growing technology value,” he adds.

The company took part in ITMA 2015 by setting up an exposition area laid out over two floors, for a total of 334 m2. The event was an occasion to introduce buyers to the new fun and colourful advertising campaign, “Fabric always on our mind”, accompanied by the new additions to the Bianco range, a testimony to the attention paid to the characteristics of the textile that the company team always puts into its work. The fabric designed and analysed in Bianco’s labs takes centre-stage in the new campaign, a witness to the constant research carried out with passion and competence to guarantee the improvement of machine technology and work processes”.

Bernocco further states: “In the exposition area, we displayed interesting new machines that add to the company’s already wide range, all designed and developed by Bianco engineers during more than 40 years in the textile industry. We also presented the new equipment to control the ‘Rameuse’, with the possibility to test the readings using textile samples provided by visitors. It was the occasion to experience the efficiency of the new ‘Weightex’ sensor that detects weight without contact. The event also allowed us to show some of our new products for continuous inline processing: ‘Happy Scour’, developed thanks to years of experience dying and printing textiles, boasts compact size and low consumption, the ideal solution for scouring before heat-fixing. The new ‘Bianco Bi-Kompact’, with a futuristic design in the ‘Anniversary’ version, was the most amazing machine presented at ITMA 2015! Thanks to Bianco designers’ great experience in the fixing and compacting sector, it offers exceptional performance and the lowest pay-back period in its category”.

Every company has its own distinctive features. Bianco had both the luck and determination to be a pioneer and confirm this role day after day, establishing itself as a leader and innovator in the textiles sector. Bianco is unique mostly because it was able to make the right transitions in the right direction with the necessary decision and determination. “Let’s hope that in the future our good instincts keep leading us towards challenging and positive experiences, without losing sight of the day-to-day business and its needs”.

Bianco, a market leading textile company that celebrated production of 300,000 machines since 1974 presented for the very first time a concept machine, an openwidth compactor. This was possible thanks to its expertise as the only textile technology company with the know-how to design, produce and manage the process of this revolutionary line.

“This particular moment was a testimony to our industrial and professional strength”, said the engineers of the company based in Alba. “We are constantly busy researching and developing new materials and improving our work processes. The design of this concept machine anticipates the new line that defines future innovations”.

The Anniversary concept machine project was managed by Paolo Martin, responsible for the “Ferrari Modulo” design, defined by many as the most extraordinary concept machine in the world. He has collaborated with style centres in a number of different sectors, from cars to shoes, including bicycles and innumerable boats and other durable goods. Martin is considered one of the most ingenious concept designers in the world.

“For us it’s an honour to collaborate with a designer of his level”, says Giuseppe Bernocco. “We were impressed by the idea and shared the desire to stimulate the market with new machines, with a style based on functionality, but at the same time pragmatic and intuitive that aims to support and guide the public’s taste in an intelligent and long-lasting way”.
