Color Service posts 40% increase in order intake compared to 2021

Thanks to Industry 4.0 incentives and investment in technological and digital transformation, the company has witnessed an intensification of the local demand

Color Service, headquartered in Dueville (VI) and a worldwide leader in automatic dosing systems, reported achieving significant sales increase in 2021 and a record of order acquisition in 2022. Despite the fact the company faced the repercussions of the pandemic in 2020, in 2021 the pre-pandemic volumes in terms of orders and production have returned, with an increase of 40% of 2022 order intake compared to the previous year. Production has rebounded to the pre-pandemic levels, while foreign demand has been robust in most markets. Thanks to Industry 4.0 incentives and investment in technological and digital transformation, the company has witnessed an intensification of the local demand.

Moreover, a transition in global textile production from east to west has generated an increment of orders from manufacturers in or close to Europe such as Turkey, Portugal and Italy. This growth was mirrored in company investments and the goods they required from Color Service; in fact, since the demand for quality exceeds manufacturing capacity, a massive investment in automation has been carried out. To cope with the increased market demand, Color Service has invested in the acquisition of its fourth production plant in Dueville with a total surface area of 4,500 sqm, where the production is planned to start by end of 2022.

The manufacturing capacity, increased in 2019 with the third building (4.000 sqm total surface), will increase with this additional building, achieving higher production and of course turnover. The research and development activities, especially during the pandemic period, where the evolution of machines has become more and more connected with the environment in which they are placed, were particularly active for Color Service. Indeed, the majority of innovations have been oriented toward environmental sustainability and Industry 4.0 regulations.

The company’s technology complies with Industry 4.0 regulations since it guarantees a boost in productivity and product quality, as well as a significant improvement in employee working conditions and massive energy saving. Environment sustainability is a deeply-felt issue in this sector, often dealing with volatile and dusty material. Color Service is able to guarantee a completely closed and aspirated system with absolute control of the dust emitted during the weighing and the suction of the product that is recovered and reintroduced into the production cycle with obvious ecological and economic benefits.

Despite the fact that the product range is relatively unchanged, over the years Color Service oriented its innovation on the renewal and upgrade of its systems. During this period with travel limitations and restrictions, the improvements were focused to shorten the commissioning times by enhancing the remote connection service. Thus 2022 has started with high expectations and by setting ambitious goals: this is a perfect scenario to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Color Service that, since 1987, has been committed in developing continuous innovations and technology opportunities – always a step ahead of its competitors.
