D’Decor bags SRTEPC Awards

D’Decor, one of the world’s largest producers of woven upholstery and curtain fabrics and India’s premium home furnishings and accessories brand, is the proud winner of three gold and two silver awards at SRTEPC Export Awards for 2019-20. The company bagged three gold trophies in the following categories:

  • Best overall export performance in the category of home furnishings and and value-added textiles.
  • Best overall export performance in the category of synthetic and rayon filament fabrics.
  • Best overall export performance in the category of blended fabrics of synthetic fibre and natural fibres.

The brand also won two silver trophies in the following categories:

  • Second best overall export performance in the category of synthetic and rayon filament fabrics.
  • Second best overall export performance in the category of fabric-based made-ups.

The brand has attained exponential growth with turnover increasing from USD 8 million to around USD 300 million. With a loyal customer base, the 20-year-old home-grown brand exports home fabrics to 65 countries worldwide and their supply chain is capable of delivering more than 20,000 SKUs. These are chosen from a large spectrum of products comprising furnishing fabric (curtains and upholstery), embroidered fabric, yarn, ready-mades, velvets, bedding (embroidered beddings), blinds and rugs.

As a company, D’Decor has accomplished many firsts in the Indian furnishing fabric business. For instance, it is the first to introduce water-repellent fabrics, flame-retardant fabrics and also to have the first robotic warehouse in India. Sanjay Arora and Ajay Arora have been instrumental in making D’Decor the largest woven upholstery and curtain manufacturer in the world. The company was founded in 1999 and the brand D’Decor along with brand ambassadors Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan was launched in 2010. It has five state-of-the-art manufacturing plants with latest European machines at Tarapur, near Mumbai. The output at their plants exceeds 1,50,000 meters a day.

The vertically integrated manufacturing set-up includes 500 looms (jaquard, dobby, velvet), 180 multi-head embroidery machines, 60 schiffili embroidery machines, digital printing machines, yarn dyeing, fabric dyeing and processing machines, etc. D’Decor exports to more than 65 countries globally including the US, Europe, West Asia, the Middle East, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. It has now ventured into the retail space with its flagship store The D’Decor Store in Bandra, Mumbai, which was launched in 2014 and many stores in cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Kolkata, among others. It also has franchise stores in Chandigarh, Nagpur, Jaipur, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
