Digital textile printing workshop in Surat on August 2 and 3

Digital-Textile-print-1

Inkjet India Workshop 2013 on Digital Textile Printing will be held in Surat on August 2 and 3. The workshop is designed to be a part of the series of educational events to be held all over India focused on providing training to the various stakeholders involved in the digital textile & industrial inkjet areas.

The workshop will mainly focus on:

Color management/RIP software: A detailed step-by-step look at all aspects of RIP software usage – profiling, separated workflow, photographic printing, usage of ICC profiles, and so on.

Printhead & printer maintenance: The printhead is the most critical component of the printer. Most print quality problems are a direct result of improper care of the printhead. A consumable that wears over time, much like the brakes on your car, it requires proper installation and ongoing maintenance to ensure a long life of service for the printer.

Ink & pre-treatment chemistry: Digital printing of textiles with dye based inks require pre-treatment and post-treatment of the printed fabric for full color and durability. The chemicals in the fabric coating permit reaction of the dye with the fiber during post-processing. Choosing the right ink chemistry is also very important for each application. This session will provide you the required technical know-how. The move from conventional printing to digital requires change in management and marketing mindset for a textile mill or for a conventional printing set-up.

Digital textile printing technologies have led to significant shifts in design processes and print aesthetics, and introduced new modes of application, production, distribution and consumption. Within a design education context, the challenge presented by these developments lies not only in the practicalities of up-skilling staff and developing new print design curricula, but in finding new ways of engaging students and researchers in emerging and profoundly different ways of working.

The workshop will also include a forum which will see leading suppliers of printheads, printing systems, inks, services and RIP software to the digital textile printing industry present their company’s products and services. Each technology provider will give a 15-minute presentation on his company and products. This will give you an insight on the latest developments all at one place.

Leading suppliers to the digital textile industry will showcase their products. This makes for an excellent networking opportunity for the participants and to make new contacts and keep pace with the latest developments and products.
The workshop will have participation from industry leading providers of inkjet technology, including MS srl, Fujifilm Dimatix, Regianni Macchine, DP Innovations, Atexco, SII Printek, Global Inkjet System, Jaysynth and Digital Graphics Incorporation.

The workshop will provide an in-depth technical understanding of digital textile printing and also an opportunity to network with industry experts and colleagues. It will also be a great opportunity to brand, designers and buying houses to network with the leading digital printing houses in Surat. The event will also see the launch of a unique web to fabric solution for digital textile print houses. Senior management, technical managers and junior officials working in the textile processing and printing industry will benefit much from the overall proceedings.

The primary objective of Inkjet Forum India is to assist the printing industry in keeping it updated with technological developments and understand the various applications and market trends in digital textile printing, ceramic inkjet printing, industrial inkjet & printing inks, etc.
