Ganesha Ecotech Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ganesha Ecosphere, has announced setting up of a spinning mill project at Rampur, Uttar Pradesh at an investment of Rs 230 crore. Sensing an opportunity as well as to increase margins from the medium tenacity fibre segment, the company is investing in 34,000 spindles, estimated to produce 10,200 tonnes spun yarn annually by using recycling polyester staple fibre (RPSF) produced by Ganesha Ecosphere. The company would be manufacturing mélange and doubled and fancy yarn, using its medium tenacity fibre.

The project is estimated to be operational by September 2023. Ganesha Ecosphere has established a new plant in Nepal. The washing line of the new plant has been operational and the PET chips production line would be operational by June 2022. The company’s Warangal project is at an advanced stage of implementation. Commissioning of PET chips plant has started and it would be operational by July 2022. Fibre and FDY lines would be operational by September 2022. Ganesha Ecosphere has achieved production of 109,788 metric tonnes during FY22, clocking revenues of Rs 1,022.35 crore. It aims to move towards sustainable efficiency.

With that objective, in its Warangal facility Ganesha Ecosphere will recycle 90% of the water required for its operations, bringing down the requirement of fresh water to just 10%. The company is also setting up an ETP plant which would be a zero liquid discharge plant. Currently 17% of the company’s energy requirements are met through rooftop solar panels and a partnership with Amplus RG Solar in Uttar Pradesh for 17 MW. Additionally, another deal for generating 14 MW of solar energy is in under implementation, which will take the organisation’s renewable energy usage to more than 50%.

Launching Go Rewise

For capturing the demand for premium recycled products, Ganesha Ecosphere is launching a brand ‘Go Rewise’, which symbolises recycling wisely. The brand is being launched with the vision to close the sustainable loop. Go Rewise is dedicated to conserving resources and establishing sustainability supremacy by efficiently recycling waste products into premium quality products. The brand has been patented and is in the process of being on-boarded by global brands after clearing their social audits.

Ganesha Ecosphere has already started to use patented DNA technology of ADNAS, USA in its products, wherever required, for physical traceability of its fibre in final finished products. The company is confident that the above steps would create strong brand equity for its products and create a pull demand, thereby improving margins. The company has achieved turnover of Rs 1,022 crore in FY 2022. With all the new expansion projects in place, the company is targeting turnover of Rs 1,300-1,400 crore next year.
