KPR to invest Rs. 250 crores in Fabric Processing Capacity and Solar Power

KPR is in the process of expanding its fabric processing capacity and increasing the strength of its solar power generation capabilities. Due to the rising demand for processing services resulting from the increased garment production capacity, an expansion of the processing capacity from 25,000 MT to 37,000 MT per annum is planned, with a capital investment of Rs. 250 crores. It is expected that this expansion will be completed within one year.

Furthermore, consideration is being given to a modernization project for the existing processing facility, with an investment of Rs. 50 crores, to upgrade its capabilities and efficiency.

Presently, KPR’s rooftop solar power generation capacity stands at 12 MW. To fulfill our commitment to a more sustainable and renewable energy resource, an additional 25 MW of solar power generation is being proposed, with an investment of Rs. 100 crores. This will raise the total solar power generation capacity to 37 MW. With this expansion, a green power capacity of 100 MW will be achieved by the company, encompassing both wind and solar power sources, allowing a substantial portion of our power needs to be met through renewable sources. It is important to note that this expansion will be financed using our internal accruals.
