RX 300 generates good response in the Indian market

KTTM-MasafumiKunito-picKirloskar Toyota Textile Machinery (KTTM) strengthened its presence in Guntur by setting up its office to cater to the growing customers in this region. The new office was inaugurated by Mr. Masafumi Kunito, Managing Director of KTTM, in the presence of all key customers from Guntur.

Inaugurating the new office, Mr. Kunito said: “We have opened this office at Guntur to mainly strengthen the market share and service our customers in Andhra Pradesh. At present we have started sales & service office with a team of 5 members. We are planning to stock essential machinery spares and components in the future. With the starting of the Guntur branch, we will have four regional offices. Next we are focusing mainly on Gujarat in view of the upcoming expansion and new projects lined up in this region”.

KTTM has also been aggressively expanding capacity at its plant in Bengaluru. “The expansion program is almost completed, and we are expanding our capacity further”, says Mr. Kunito.

Globally Toyota has already announced making India the manufacturing hub for spinning machines, and the company has already started moving its plant and machinery to India. KTTM has also started exporting machines from India to many countries, including Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Philippines, etc. “We are seeing increased demand from overseas market for our machines. Currently 40 to 50% of the total production goes for export”, says Mr. Kunito.

KTTM has also bagged the first order for RX 300 machine from Ravalli Spinners in Andhra Pradesh. This will be KTTM’s first machine with Slub Attachment to make fancy yarn. The machine will be delivered to the customer shortly. KTTM has already bagged good orders for RX 300 from a cross-section of customers and the enquiries have been very encouraging, says Mr. Kunito.

The RX 300 delivers high quality, high productivity, superior operability, and easy maintenance demanded of a spinning frame through such advanced Toyota technologies as proprietary spinning geometry, positive lifting, and color function panel. The machine is also mounted with a system to handle the full range of fancy yarns. With simple, easy operation, fancy yarns can be spun in all patterns.

In addition, the Toyota Monitoring System (TMS) that enables connection to the Internet, a space-saving, high energy-efficient design (reduced power consumption) at world-class levels, and minimal doffing times make the RX 300 a winning combination.

Overall 2014-15 has been a good year for KTTM. The first six months of 2014-15 was very good. Deliveries of machines were as per the agreed schedules. In the second half good deliveries are planned, and more orders are expected from the Andhra and Gujarat region, says Mr. Kunito.
