Loepfe YarnMaster ZENIT for perfect yarn clearing

Cotton prices are on the rise, and the price pressure for yarns is becoming harder. This leads to the necessity for competitive quality. However, the share of foreign matter in cotton too rises.

Loepfe sets new standards with the consistent development of the successful YarnMaster Zenit yarn clearer with the new, optimized triboelectric P2 sensor. Precision in yarn clearing has been improved further by optimized measuring algorithms and very fast signal processing.

YarnMaster Zenit is intended for customers with the highest demands on yarn clearing and yarn quality who want to be assured of safety and reliability even under the most problematic ambient conditions.

The unique “all-round view” ensures the complete evaluation of the yarn structure. The optical and triboelectric measuring methods have proven themselves for many years for all yarn qualities, yarn count ranges and fibre materials and are optimal solutions. The clearer is very flexible with respect to yarn types and material and covers the complete yarn count range with only one sensing head.
Even fancy yarns are cleared efficiently and without compromise using simple clearer settings. Thanks to optimized yarn path of the Zenit sensing head, there are very few abrasive effects on the yarn even when the winding speed is high. The 7-segment display which is built into the sensing head informs of occurrences already at the spindle.

So far, the YarnMaster Zenit F has ensured foreign matter clearing with high precision. The latest developments have been integrated in software and hardware development and have again significantly improved clearing efficiency.

Polypropylene recognition
Yarn contamination by white or transparent polypropylene fibres causes production and quality losses. White PP only becomes visible after dyeing or bleaching. Clearing improves the yarn quality considerably and prevents complaints concerning the dyed end product. PP and other synthetic foreign matter that is transparent or identical in color with cotton can hardly be recognized with conventional clearing. To overcome these problems, Loepfe has upgraded to the latest technology and developed the proven P sensor to the P2 sensor. Cotton yarns as well as blends are thus efficiently cleared.

The efficient and reliable new P2 sensor from Loepfe is customer-oriented and its advantages are:

  • Controlled, reliable clearing of synthetic foreign matter provides a decisive competitive advantage and, in most cases, is mandatory in modern yarn trading.
  • Complaints because of foreign matter in the finished, dyed fabric are reduced.
  • The door to the most demanding market segment is opened. In this segment, yarn cleared of polypropylene is a basic prerequisite.
  • Better quality of the end product and thus better prices
  • Less raw material waste
  • Better utilization of resources
  • Increase in efficiency of downstream processes and corresponding cost savings.

Spinning mills processing their yarns with the YarnMaster ZENIT FP yarn clearer are well prepared for the future.
