Loptex is one of the leading names in quality control systems for textile fibres, both in the spinning and nonwoven sectors, globally. The Italian company has also made a distinct name for itself among the Indian textile fraternity over the years. In an exclusive chat, CEO Renato Gerietti stated that he was happy with Loptex’s worldwide performance in 2021. “It has been a recovery year. We could close it with a remarkable step forward in terms of sales and intake orders,” he said. According to him, United States, Turkey, India and Pakistan were the key global markets which were good for the company during the period. Adding, he said that the company is well-positioned, both in nonwoven and in spinning as a pioneer for quality solutions.

Key Strengths

Renato Gerietti mentioned vision, innovation, state-of-the-art technologies, prompt reaction and problem-solving attitude vis-à-vis its customers as the key strengths and advantages offered by Loptex. He pointed out that by offering highly efficient and reliable systems, with consistency of results, the company’s products help its customers increase their efficiency, quality and profitability. He also added that the company had introduced new technologies in both spinning and nonwoven over the last couple of years.

Commenting on the valuable lessons learnt from the pandemic period, he said: “We reorganised our company to focus on research and development, logistics and cost-saving solutions. It has been, despite the pandemic, a valuable exercise for the company, keeping in view the new challenges in the market.” Throwing light on the company’s automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives, he remarked: “Loptex is a Industry 4.0-oriented company, offering the right tools for the creation of a valuable platform to companies to pursue business continuity, growth and competitiveness.”

Explaining how the company contributes towards its customers achieving their sustainability goals, Gerietti noted: “Loptex offers sustainable technologies to the market. It is Loptex’s commitment to reduce general consumption of its machineries during operation. It annually releases the ACIMIT Green Plate which is a document that aims to identify the energy and environmental performance of the textile machinery.”

Positive Outlook

With widespread hope prevalent about the world nearing the end of the pandemic, Gerietti is optimistic that the textile industry is in for a good time. “We expect a significant revival of the textile industry, which is globally sustained by local governments’ subsidies. The textile machinery industry will also benefit,” he said. Finally, when asked to sum up his vision for Loptex by 2025, he said: “We expect to become a leading company focused on innovations and sustainable solutions for the textile industry.”
