Manufacturing Facilities

Has 11 manufacturing facilities, which also includes having a base in garment hubs such as those of Tirupur and Ludhiana. Most of the plants are in West Bengal that includes the new state-of-the-art plant in Dankuni.

Production Capacity

Its new Dankuni unitis an integrated facility with a capacity to produce 5 lakh units of finished products a day. The unit is expected to fully come on-stream by September 2016.

Expansion Plans

While Lux is at its advanced stages of operationalisation of its new asset in Dankuni, it isalso planning for Phase-II expansion that seeks to double the production capacity of the unit over the next 3-4 years.

Lux is expanding its socks manufacturing capacity at itsRoorkee facility by almost 100% that will enable it to emerge as one of the country’s largest socks manufacturers and gain a larger share of the market.

Exports &Global Presence

With total export sales of Rs. 117.31 crore in 2015-16, Lux Industries continues to remain the largest exporter of innerwear out of India with exports contributing to 12.62% of its gross income during the year. The company exports products to the whole of Africa, Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia, Cameroon, Australia and North America. During the current year, Lux is actively exploring the markets of Korea and Western Europe and hope to normalize export-driven growth over the near future.

Financial Performance

Lux has achieved a gross income of Rs. 94,116.33 lakhs in 2015-16 as against Rs. 90,913.50 lakhs in the previous year. The net profit after tax is Rs. 5,134.06 lakhs as against Rs. 4,522.91 lakhs in 2014-15.

Future Focus

In 2016-17, Lux expects a revenue growth of about 8-10% that will enable it to cross the historic Rs. 1,000-crore mark.
