MURATA demonstrates advanced spinning machinery technology

Muratec’s theme for this year’s ITMA Asia was “Challenge for the next-Debut.” Muratec debuted in China its latest machine model, automatic winder Process Coner II QPRO and VORTEX spinning machine VORTEX III 870, which received a great amount of fanfare at the world’s most established textile and garment machinery technology exhibition ITMA 2011 held in Barcelona last year.

Muratec strikes a balance between “high quality” and  “high productivity” demanded by the textile market not only in China but all over the world, and offers superior “energy saving” performance which can respond to electric power shortages and “differentiation” to meet diversifying market needs. These latest models reflecting these elements in machine performance are expected to meet full customer expectations.

Process Coner II QPRO is equipped with much more enhanced features and functions over the No. 21C Process Coner first released in 2001 and adopted by spinning companies around the world. The automatic winder has succeeded in achieving a phenomenal combination of increased operational speed and greatly improved energy efficiency in the winding process while maintaining high yarn quality.

Muratec, which has always been a pioneer in developing innovative new technologies related to the winding and rewinding processes, such as the Air Splicer, the Link Coner and the Balloon Control System, is now responding to customers’ every need with overwhelming performance of the new automatic winder.

The company also demonstrated the VORTEX III 870, incorporating all of the spinning knowledge accumulated since the debut of the VORTEX line. This is its third generation VORTEX spinning machine that handles roving, spinning and winding in a single machine.

A unique yarn structure by VORTEX spinning and functionality inherent in its structure are recognized by apparel companies all over the world and continues to spread around the textile product market for a variety of materials and a wide range of applications.

VORTEX III 870 improves operability and user-friendliness to enhance reliability in high-speed spinning, and also realizes further energy savings based on the company experience and ideas from customers, including its partners. During the exhibition Muratec ran a sample corner where the latest VORTEX samples were collected.

Additionally, Muratec’s new model twister for industrial yarn – No. 3M6 – responds flexibly to the needs of the market with a versatile design that allows it to be used as either a cable twister or a two-for-one twister. These twisters for industrial yarn provide the speed and flexibility to respond to the demands of product development in any field of industrial fiber.

Ever since its founding in 1935, Muratec has continued to make advancements based on expertise and technology accumulated through a long-standing relationship with its customers, thus bringing innovation to the textile industry. It aims to contribute to further development of the world’s textile industry with improved-quality machinery and creation of added value, brought about by solutions in the form of new technologies.

“QPRO” adds an even greater range of performance and achieves both high productivity and high quality while also making full use of the strengths of the 21C Series. What’s more, there are added functions that are essential for spinning factories, such as easy operation and energy efficiency. The company demonstrated two different models of magazine type and VCF type (manpower saving type). It can offer a full line-up that can respond flexibly to a wide variety of customer requirements and situations, in accordance with floor layout and/or investment plan.

Since the debut of the VORTEX spinning machine, VORTEX yarn has been widely recognized throughout the world for its superior features, including its beautiful, clear appearance, its excellent resistance to pilling and friction due to its low level of hairiness, and its ability to make clean prints. The potential for new product development in the world of fashion has also been expanded.

This year, the company debuted its newly developed VORTEX III 870 in China. With its third-generation VORTEX spinning machine, in addition to the usual increased productivity, improved operability and maintainability and reduced energy consumption that the customers have come to expect, new and original technologies related to spinning and clearing that prevent hairiness, realizing even greater reliability in terms of yarn quality have also been incorporated.

This time, Muratec demonstrated its high-speed spinning of polyester/cotton (50/50) blended yarn. In addition to showing the features of the yarn structure, the company also emphasized the versatility of VORTEX yarn, which is also well-suited to polyester/cotton blended yarn.

In addition, in the VORTEX sample corner, Muratec displayed samples of the latest fabrics and products making full use of VORTEX yarn’s features. Visitors could well realise the high functionality and superior quality of VORTEX yarn, which has been recognized for its features in markets around the world.

Textile cord for tyres is increasingly in demand in the ever-expanding automobile industry, industrial fibers, whose market is growing with the development of social infrastructure, and textile fibers for carpets used in homes, offices and hotel buildings. Now, in the global industrial fiber manufacturing industry, competition is not simply a matter of supply capacity; there are also demands for exacting standards of quality and cost competitiveness.

As Muratec’s “Global Strategy Model,” the No. 3M6, which handles textile cord for tyres, industrial fibers and carpet textile fibers alike, is designed to appeal to markets such as the automobile industry in which safety takes the highest priority and quality is emphasized, while at the same time appealing to markets in which, in response to the rapid development of social infrastructure, productivity is a high priority and machine stability is emphasized. This time, Muratec demonstrated the cabler for tyre cords and carpets at the venue.

Muratec also made new proposals for the future taking advantage of No. 3M6 in a simple machine structure and design that realizes stable yarn quality, reliability and achievement accumulated for many years with the two-for-one twister.
