Muratec’s 75-year saga of success

In the 75 years since its foundation, Murata Machinery Ltd. has, through the development of the Mach Splicer that revolutionized the textile industry and other achievements, accumulated know-how and technologies. In the area of automation technologies that integrate upstream and downstream processes, Muratec was again the first company to put into practical use the Link Coner, a machine that directly links the spinning machine and automatic winder. It continues to lead in automation of the spinning process, and has achieved production efficiency improvements that enhance the quality of spun yarn.

Furthermore, Muratec is also the only company to offer Vortex, a completely new method of spinning. Throughout its long career, Murata Machinery has created added value through automation to improve product quality and by offering new technologies, thereby contributing to the development of the worldwide textile industry.

At ITMA Asia, Muratec demonstrated the Vortex 861, the newest machine model specially designed to operate two types of yarn. The unique structure of Vortex yarn, which cannot be duplicated by other spinning methods, is the trump card of differentiation that can ensure that a business will thrive. In addition, by combining roving, spinning and winding processes in a single machine, the space-saving Vortex spinning machine is one of Muratec’s solutions to the modern textile industry’s concerns over labor shortage.

At the Vortex sample corner, Muratec displayed the latest fabric and product samples created with the features of Vortex yarn.

The No. 21C has become the top brand in automatic winders, with a total shipment of over 600,000 units all over the world. This achievement indicates the high reputation it has earned for flexibility and versatility. This exhibit featured demonstrations of winding using seven types of yarn and a wide range of splicers.

The industrial fiber industry is expanding as social infrastructure develops, while the continuing expansion of the automobile industry is raising demand for tyre card as well as interior and exterior textile fibers. Now in the Chinese industrial fiber manufacturing industry, there is not only competition in supply capability but also demand for quality and cost competitiveness. To meet these market needs, the No. 3M6 was displayed. It is a specially-designed machine that combines the specifications of a cable twister and two-for-one twister.

This machine provides a more simple construction compared to traditional cable twisters. It has been designed with operability in mind. In addition, a line-up of two types of spindles is provided, improving energy efficiency.
