Orange O Tec is a name that needs no introduction for anyone familiar with the Indian textile industry’s digital printing scene. The company is considered a pioneer in bringing digital printing into India. “The company was founded by Karan Toshniwal and Mayank Rathi in the year 2008 with the intention of bringing digital textile printing into India. Later, the company also joined hands with various international brands representing them in the Indian market,” informs Aayush Rathi, Director, Orange O Tec, in an exclusive chat. “This includes a portfolio of sublimation printers offering productivity from 1,100 – 9,000 lm per day and direct textile printers offering productivity within a range of 1,500 – 11,000 lm per day. That apart, we also represent international brands such as MS Italy, Twine Solutions and Pengda,” he adds. Giving a short brief on each of the company’s principals and the product range they offer for the Indian market, Rathi elaborates: “Orange O Tec has tied up with various international brands as mentioned before. Each of these brands offers unique advantages. For example, MS offers guaranteed same printing result each time, Twine Solutions offers unique digital thread dyeing technology and Pengda offers various speed options in fusing with their touch accessibility.”
Digital Printing in Demand
Sharing his views on the growth of digital printing technology in India and the factors that are driving this growth, Rathi states that post the pandemic workplaces are gearing to shift operations to a digital platform. “To survive increased competition, workplaces are creating a suitable environment to enable the digital textile printing market to transform operations. A new ESOMAR-certified market research and consulting firm’s market intelligence report pegs global digital textile printing market’s growth at 16.3 per cent from 2022-2029. There are various benefits that will drive the growth of the industry,” he adds.
“These include reduced sampling time, less time to market, sustainable norms for water pollution by the government, labour issues, etc.,” he explains. Throwing light on the key applications for which Orange O Tec is offering solutions, Rathi says, “As per the forecast, the direct to fabric (DTF) segment is expected to grow at 17.5 per cent CAGR. Demand for digital textile printing is likely to surge despite higher primary setup cost. An increase in orders for shorter run lengths will create multiple jobs. The products offered by Orange O Tec suit various applications like home furnishing, fashion, Indian wear, traditional wear, etc.”

“We are already receiving good response from the market and some leads that we are about to close in due course. We are looking forward to a great future for Twine Solutions in the Indian market,” he adds. Going into details regarding the company’s sales and service network, Rathi says, “We offer one of the best customer service options in the industry with 35+ service engineers and ready stock inventory for parts, making sure the production is not affected at the client’s end.”
Quality Printing Solutions
The company has made deep inroads into the market with its quality digital printing solutions. “Some of the key customers of Orange O Tec are Bishen Dyeing, Kankariya Textile, Jay Industries, Ganga Fashion, Daas Digital, Apollo Processor, etc. Also, there are a few clients who have installed multiple machines in their printing units. We have eight clients with 5+ machines installed and five clients with 7+ machines installed at the same site,” Rathi informs. Moreover, sustainable manufacturing of textiles has become increasingly important post the pandemic. Pointing out how the company ensures that it offers the most sustainable solutions to its customers, Rathi states: “We deal in digital textile printers, hence all our products are sustainable in nature.”
“Each of our products offers benefits like faster sampling and less time to market while supporting low volume production, no limitations to colours, etc.,” he adds. The Indian textile industry is expected to grow exponentially over the next few years with large expectations from the government’s recent incentive plans. Given this scenario, Rathi is confident of the growth of the digital textile printing market segment. “The benefits offered by digital printing over conventional printing are tremendous. With time more and more people are now shifting towards digital textile printing. Also, with government incentives there will be more encouragement for adopting digital textile printers which will provide an indirect boost to us,” he points out.
Future Plans
When asked about the segments that the company is keenly considering as part of its future growth strategy, Rathi says that Orange O Tec will be coming up with the best available products in the pigment market for the textile industry soon. Sharing his vision for the company by 2025, a confident Rathi remarks: “We aim to transform the industry with automation-oriented digital technologies and create a better future for all. Our mission is to become a market leader in the digital printing segment nationally as well as transforming every small and medium printing enterprise to go digital in their business operations. As per the growth forecast, we are expecting 20% market share to shift to digital from conventional printing. And we expect Orange O Tec to play a critical role in it.”
