Bangladesh-based Paramount Group of companies was established in 1986. The company forayed into the textile industry in 2006. Paramount Textile Ltd. (PTL) has produced and exported more than billion yards of fabrics all over the world. The company has emerged as one of the leading fabrics manufacturer in Bangladesh by investing in the latest technology machineries and equipments, efficient workforce and more than 3 decades of extensive experience. Last year Paramount Textile exported almost $52 million worth of merchandise worldwide.

PTL has been rated as an Oeko-Tex standard 100 export oriented Bangladeshi manufacturer. Paramount manufactures a diversified range of yarn, solid dyed and printed woven fabrics.

As recognition of performance, Paramount Textile has been awarded the ‘National Export Trophy’ for several years since its inception and for ensuring governance within the company; the company has been awarded ‘3rd and 5th ICSB National Corporate Governance Award’ from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh. Apart from these, the company has been awarded the International Trophy for Quality from Global Trade Leaders’ Club, Paris, in recognition of its commitment to Quality and Excellence of its Services. In this industry the vision has emerged from the years of experience and expertise in this industry.

PTL has been making steady investments in expansion and modernisation of its manufacturing facility which has ensured good business growth over the years. The company recently started a High Speed Diesel (HSD) based power generation facility of 200 MW (net) capacity jointly with Bangla Trac Ltd. PTL has invested 49% of total equity of this company, Paramount Btrac Energy Ltd.

Outlook for future

PTL believes in investing in eco-friendly state-of-the-art machineries in its production process. With this objective, the management will be investing in machinery and equipments for smooth and effective production process which will ensure reduced carbon emissions, less uses of utilities and unavoidable production hazards, etc. PTL is setting up thermosol dyeing unit & liquid ammonia unit to make another milestone in this sector for ensuring competitive advantage.
