Rajapalayam Mills to invest Rs. 330 crores in weaving and fabric finishing

Rajapalayam Mills has announced an investment of Rs. 330 crores in adding fresh weaving and fabric processing capacity. The company will add 166 Looms and establish a new Fabric finishing process with a capacity of 50,000 meters per day.

Rajapalayam Mills is currently offering premium yarn and Loom state greige fabrics to leading fabric manufacturers in India and abroad. To meet out the increase in demand of fabric and to further increase the value of its supply, the company has planned additional loom capacity and to establish fabric finishing process in its Weaving Unit.

By establishing fabric finishing, the Company can supply ready to stitch finished fabrics to Leading Brands. It is expected to increase the Sales turnover by 25% and corresponding increase in profits.

Currently Rajapalayam Mills has 122 looms, which will be increased to 154 looms by March 2022. The total project cost is Rs. 330 crores. The new project with additional looms and fabric processing capacity is expected to commence production by April 2023.
