Raymond introduces Virasafe range of fabrics to combat viruses

India’s largest integrated worsted suiting manufacturer, Raymond launched Virasafe, an anti-viral range of fabrics. The exhaustive range is aimed at corporate, service and medical professionals for daily use. The country’s most popular textile and apparel manufacturer believes that the high-performance range of anti-viral fabrics will help give professionals a strong reassurance in combating the viruses as they resume their work lives in the COVID-19 context.

The Virasafe range of fabrics is claimed to be 100% effective in fighting HSN1 (avian influenza), COV P8-P11 (SARS Corona Virus) and H1N1 (influenza virus). The anti-viral treatment and finish on textiles can significantly reduce the risk of transmission, contamination and curbs the spread of these viruses, according to the officials.

Ram Bhatnagar, VP & Head – Sales & Distribution, speaks about the launch: “Virasafe is a testimony to our product innovation and the trust we have built over the years to develop safe fabrics and textiles. We feel positive that the anti-viral range will receive traction as people are adapting themselves to the new normal and changed work conditions.”

Virasafe has built-in Silver Technology that has been proven to be effective against a wide range of microbes.

The fabric finish is approved by USFDA, USEPA, EUBPR and NSF.
