Ltd. of Coimbatore was among the 17 Indian companies which were rated and presented Awards at the third edition of the CII GreenCo Summit 2014 held in Chennai on June 26 and 27. The company received the GreenCo Bronze Award for constant improvement of its environmental performance and its emergence as a most eco-friendly organisation.
S.P. Textile Processors has installed at its unit low liquor ratio dyeing machines as well as automatic solution preparation and dispensing machines. The company has succeeded in reducing its waste disposal by 48 per cent and has taken sustainable efforts on raw material consumption. It also complies with the REACH norms for all its products.
The Chennai summit was attended over 300 delegates representing various industry sectors. More than 100 companies, including Godrej and Boyce, Tata Motors, ACC Ltd., JK Tyres, Kirloskar Brothers, L&T, Sundram Fasteners and Shree Cement, were covered under the rating system at the meet.
