With the installation of 62 POLAR winders following that of 8 ORION winders and 14 TFO Geminis S, 17 TFO Sirius, Nitin Spinners is a benchmark reference for SAVIO in the Rajasthan region. At ITMA 2015, the Golden Drum presentation ceremony took place at the SAVIO stand for the Nitin Group delegates.
The Golden Drum was handed over to Mr. R.L. Nolkha, Chairman, in the presence of Mr. Dinesh Nolkha, Managing Director, Mr. Nitin Nolkha, Director, and Mr. Sandeep Garg, General Manager, Nitin Spinners. The SAVIO team included Mr. Mauro Moro, Commercial Director of SAVIO SpA., Italy.
The Special Drum was awarded to SAVIO’s most loyal and successful partners as a token of gratitude and long-lasting relationship.

Trident Group
SAVIO is having long association with the Trident Group since 1990 with its very first spinning unit set up at Barnala. From the iconic SAVIO Automatic Winder model ESPERO of 6 machines, the unit was expanded from 1995 onwards to a total of 11 winders. Following the success of this unit, the second unit was completed with 12 ESPERO winders and the terry towel installed with SAVIO TFO model Geminis 12 machines. Later it was expanded in 2004 with the addition of further 12 TFO model Geminis S, plus 5 more in 2006.
Trident later added ORION L, a complete electronic winder to its fleet in 2004, and later the 4th generation winder POLAR was added in late 2010 at the Barnala link project. SAVIO is associated with this prestigious project with 40 link machines model POLAR I/DLS, at the state-of-the-art Barnala plant.
Following the successful performance records, the Budhni unit of MP was equipped with 22 POLAR RM machines and 52 link model POLAR I/DLS machines for the medium and fine count sector.
At the Golden Drum presentation ceremony on November 15, Mr. Mauro Moro handed over the Golden Drum to Mr. Rajinder Gupta, Chairman of TRIDENT, in the presence of Mr. Abhishek Gupta, Managing Director, Mr. Valter De Carli, Vice President – Sales India, and Mr. Franco Bonello, MD of SAVIO India Ltd.
The commemorative drum is to represent the thousands of working drums in operation at several Trident spinning plants across India.
It also represents several generations of men and machines across times, from Trident, SAVIO India and SAVIO Italy, but one single, strong and long-lasting relationship between the two partners.
The completion of the latest and world’s largest integrated manufacturing unit at Budhni was another jewel in SAVIO’s crown with 3,100 plus winding drums.
Mr G. Checchini, Mr. F. Bonello, Mr. I.N. Basu and Mr. V.K. Saxena, all of SAVIO India, as well as Mr. V. De Carli of SAVIO Italy also attended the event.
