Started in 1981, this partnership firm has established its presence as a leading name to emerge from Tiruppur in the fabric domain. Its manufacturing unit has sound infrastructure which includes 36 Sulzer and 24 Picanol airjet weaving machines. It also has a sister concern – Prabath Spinners, a spinning unit with 22,000 spindle capacity, located on the outskirts of Tiruppur.
According to Mr. K. Palanisamy, Managing Director of Prabath Mills, there has been a 15-20 per cent reduction in air consumption leading to significant energy savings from the time the company started using reeds from Schoch Reeds.
Elaborating further on the partnership with Schoch Reeds, he observed: “Our association with Schoch Reeds started about a year ago. I feel it is one of the best decisions taken by us. The customized reeds and hi-tech sub-nozzles offered by Schoch Reeds for different types of airjet weaving machines have definitely helped us achieve measurable energy savings.”
Prabath Mills was earlier using reeds of other makes which were not able to provide such results. “The team from Schoch Reeds is always there to provide us any support that we want and we look forward to a long association with the company,” he added.
With its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Kolhapur in Maharashtra, Schoch Reeds has continued making rapid inroads into the Indian market in recent times.
