Mr. B.B. Sharma, CEO, Sintex Group

Sintex is setting up one of India’s largest compact yarn facilities with one million spindles, to be commissioned in a phased manner. The company commenced operations of Phase I comprising 3.06 lakh spindles spinning superior quality compact yarn for weaving and knitting operations during 2016-17. The unit has cutting-edge technology sourced from global leaders in the textile machinery space. The cotton/yarn will not have human intervention until the packaging stage, and the plant’s ‘No-Touch’ operations hold the potential to revolutionise the Indian spinning sector, going forward.

Mr. Amit Patel, Group Managing Director, said, “As we move into FY19, our utilisation will ramp up, resulting in higher revenues on our current cost base, thus improving profitability. Strategically, our objective is to make a strong footprint in higher value-added yarn segment for global supply chain of fabric manufacturers. With the most modern technology and global scale, we have achieved leadership domestically in the high end yarn segment, I believe we have emerged on the global platform.”
