Sportking completes spinning expansion plan

Sportking India Ltd. has completed the installation of machinery of its expansion project of 68,256 spindles at its Bathinda unit for production of cotton yarn. With this the overall installed capacity of the company has increased from 2,04,624 spindles to 2,72,880 spindles.

Sportking has expanded the installed capacity by additional 68,256 spindles at an estimated cost of Rs. 265 crores for the manufacture of fine/coarse count of cotton yarn to be funded partly out of internal cash accruals and partly out of term loans.

Sportking is engaged in producing cotton yarn, synthetic yarn and blended yarn. The company which has manufacturing units at Ludhiana and at Bathinda achieved a gross revenue/operating income of Rs. 1,054.67 crores.
