Technology stabilization at Trident’s bed linen project

Trident Ltd. has announced technology stabilisation of the integrated bed linen project at Budni in Madhya Pradesh on February 15 in respect of the following facilities:

* The bed linen unit comprising of 500 looms with the state-of-the-art technology and matching equipments for processing and packaging, capable of producing 43.2 million meters of bed linen per annum, which would give a further impetus to the company’s strong home textiles portfolio.

* Also the world’s largest compact spinning unit of 1.90 lakh spindles under one roof to meet the captive requirements of fine counts and superfine counts for the bed-linen unit.

The company’s net revenue for the first nine months of the current financial year stood at Rs. 897.8 crores, out of which textile business clocked a turnover of Rs. 706.7 crores.

Mr. Rajinder Gupta, Chairman, Trident Ltd., says: “Our bed-linen facility in Budhni that was commissioned recently is progressing well. Simultaneously, we are in discussion with customers and looking to build a robust order book pipeline so that we can quickly ramp up utilizations. With this facility, we are through with our major CAPEX cycle, and I would like to reiterate that the management focus going ahead would be on consolidating operations and free-cash-flow generation, which we believe will create tremendous value for all stake holders.”
