WELSPUN and SUPERBA collaborate to launch innovative, eco-friendly products

The best way to predict the future is to create it

SUPERBA S.A.S, member of the VANDEWIELE family of companies, is the global leader for carpet yarn treatment. We offer space-dyeing machines, texturization devices, heat-setting lines and automatic winders. Together with VANDEWIELE extrusion, weaving & tufting machines, as well as finishing & backing machines, SUPERBA – VANDEWIELE can provide complete solutions for the carpet industry, from granulates to carpet.

SUPERBA is locally supported by Bonas-India, the branch office of VANDEWIELE NV, to assist their Indian customers and provides commercial and technical support thanks to our technicians on the field as well as our permanently available hotline.

SUPERBA is very proud to have been chosen by a major player in the Indian carpet industry, such as WELSPUN. With already several year’s history of common developments, SUPERBA is not only offering machines to WELSPUN, but also comes with decades of experience in heat-setting for carpet yarn, and unique technique for innovative yarn design such as the MCD/3 space-dyeing machine. By raising their quality levels to international standards with our lines, our customers are opening their business to worldwide export, and reducing their time-to-market for new products.

The MCD/3 is capable of handling a layer of 72 ends with an unequalled range of spot length, especially for the ultra-short spots thus enabling ‘one-pile/one-color’ process on the carpet. It can space-dye polyester and polyamide yarns in combination with the TVP3 heat-setting line.

The MCD3 space-dyeing machine is able to produce 15 different color shades, and offers exclusive dyeing effects such as the ‘bi-color’ printing or the ‘tone-on-tone’ effect. The yarn pattern design is carried out on the Yarndraw3 software, enabling endless possibilities of spot lengths, colors and effects combinations for creating promising new styles of carpet.

To present high quality characteristics, after the extrusion process, the synthetic fibers used in carpet manufacturing are heat-set to fix the twist, develop the bulk and confer a soft touch to the rugs, tiles or wall-to-wall carpet. The TVP/3 line is among the most effective heat-setting processes, able to produce 10 Tons of yarn per day, and more, with a layer of 72 ends and a very high efficiency.

Thanks to cloud computing, SUPERBA – VANDEWIELE products are, or will be connected to the ‘’Texconnect’’ data-analyzing system. Integration of the whole production line to the Factory 4.0 concept provides readily-available data to supply the predictive maintenance and reduce yarn waste, allowing manufacturers to make the highest quality carpets at the most economic prices.

Developing new creative final products is not only a matter of machinery; it is also a matter of collaboration: SUPERBA and WELSPUN have forged a solid partnership to conceive new carpet styles and will continue to do so. This commitment to move forward together, thanks also to the power and support of a global group like VANDEWIELE, is a common value between SUPERBA and WELSPUN, both looking into the future to bring to the market the products of tomorrow: innovative, environment friendly, economic and safe.
