The Gaurs’ principals to showcase sustainable technologies in dyeing & processing

The company represents machinery manufacturers from Germany, Italy, Sweden, United Kingdom, Turkey and Switzerland and are able to offer a wide range of machinery across the dyeing and finishing process

THE GAURS was established in 2010 with the objective of bringing to India and surrounding regions innovative European technology for dye houses. Strategic alliances with these next-generation machinery manufacturers having latest technology and solutions were formed to provide Indian customers the option of machines and solutions which are sustainable, consume lesser utilities and are green for the environment. These machines are bringing a visible difference in the customers’ manufacturing operations in terms of faster return on investment (ROI) when compared with the traditional dyeing, processing and finishing machinery available in the market.

S. Gaur, Director, and Anubhav Gaur, President & CEO

THE GAURS initially started out promoting calendar rolls, rubber rolls and special nonwoven-based squeeze rolls. Today, the company is capable to provide end-to-end machinery solutions for a dye house – singeing and pre-treatment lines, various dyeing technologies, processing & finishing machines, sanforizing and calendaring machines, coating and laminating machines and complete lines for technical textiles. The core focus, however, still remains the same – wet processing. THE GAURS today caters to customers located in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand and Indonesia.

Future Growth of Indian Textile Industry

Presenting a perspective on the growth prospects of the Indian textile industry, the management said, “We can confidently say that the India growth story, specifically textiles, is, intact and is at a tipping point. The current global situation points to the fact that when it comes to textiles, India has a chance to outgrow and expand exponentially. We can be the leaders in sustainable technologies and set a benchmark for sustainable manufacturing, provided we are ready to open our minds and accept progressive technologies. Global brands have already started to push manufacturers into going sustainable. You can no longer install solar power plants and say that you are sustainable.”

“ZLD (zero liquid discharge) was a unique concept until five years ago and today most of the factories are doing it. The fundamental question dye houses need to ask themselves is: what is that unique thing that makes me stand out from my peers? Those who are going to start and invest today in evaluating and adopting sustainable textile manufacturing technologies that provide lower CO2 emissions, consume low utilities, low water, etc. are the ones who are going to come out stronger. THE GAURS have the required machinery and solutions that can help dye houses achieve the above mentioned objectives and targets,” the management added.

Future Plans

“THE GAURS is focussed and committed to providing low-energy, sustainable and next-generation dyeing and finishing machinery to fabric processors. Our principals are investing in disruptive technology and disruptive process methodologies which are bringing down utilities, steam and electricity costs in the machinery and this is ultimately going to benefit the machinery buyers immensely. Our manufacturers are constantly innovating to provide more and more sustainable solutions.Globally, the final buyer’s preferences are changing and our principals are aware of this and are innovating at the back-end to deliver the results. Indian buyers are slowly starting to relook at their machinery and plant investments and ask themselves how they are going to meet the sustainability demands of their fabric buyers. So the future looks promising and it is an exciting time for all of us where we are at the cusp of a big change that is sweeping the world,” the management said.
