The quality of ATAC machinery and the technical knowledge of the company team to modify machines as per customer requirements ensure that the company is able to provide the best-in-class machinery to the world market. With its R&D efforts, the company is in continuous touch with its customers for improving its laboratory machines, designs and performance parameters to replicate the production processes. This has ensured that its laboratory machines are able to provide up to 98% replication of laboratory results to production and has made ATAC one of the leading companies in this sector at the global level.

ATAC Makina has tie-ups with various agencies worldwide to provide services and cater to the needs of customers spread across the world. The Gaurs, headed by Mr. M.S. Gaur and Mr. Anubhav Gaur, are the exclusive business partners of ATAC Makina for India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Indonesia.

The Gaurs cover the complete lifecycle of services for ATAC right from presales, sales, machine installation & commissioning, aftersales services and meeting spares requirements. ATAC Makina’s entry into the Indian market happened with the Gaurs a little more than three years ago. Their mutual relationship and friendship have grown multifold ever since.

Customers now appreciate the product quality and have started preferring the ATAC machines for meeting their needs. With some of the ATAC machines running in most demanding 24 X 7 environments, the confidence of customers and dependability of these machines has only increased with time.

Another USP of ATAC is that it has the capability to manufacture and deliver a machine as per individual customer requirements. As Mr. Gaur puts it, there are often cases when the customers want custom size for a machine or want to incorporate certain features in the machine, and that is where the technical superiority of ATAC Makina stands out. The team goes into details of why the change in design or functionality is important to the customers and what the customer wants to achieve by that change. Then the team tries out various designs, and once discussed and design is approved by the customer, the machine arrives from Turkey exactly as the customer wants it.

Some of the earliest ATAC machines in India are running for about 3½ years without problems. In fact, the oldest ATAC machine still running successfully today is a 2005 model one.

ATAC and the Gaurs have always focussed on ensuring that technically, the machine should perform as per the technical requirements. This has led to a very strong emphasis being laid on what is the problem that their customer is trying to solve. Initially the sales were low, but slowly and steadily they have picked up pace and sold around 20+ machines – quite an achievement for 3 years. Out of these, around 10 have arrived in India in the last one year. The road ahead looks to be very promising as more and more customers are attracted to the aware of ATAC brand.

At the ITM Istanbul Exhibition held in April last, ATAC launched a laboratory dispensing unit which was well received by customers. It also showcased a new mini-stenter machine with improved online coating capabilities. Talking about how important the Indian market is to the company, Mr. Gaur said that India and South Asia are actually seen as prime focus markets for ATAC. There is dedicated focus from the management and the ATAC technical team to help the Gaurs and their customers with timely service and delivery.

ATAC has modern factory in Turkey with about 50 regular full-time employees. Mr. Gaur says: “It is a factory which all prospective customers should definitely visit if they are thinking of evaluating or purchasing new laboratory machines. The way the ATAC factory has been built and the way the machines are manufactured will generate immense customer confidence.”

Asked whether the Gaurs import machines on behalf of the customers and how the machines are commissioned, he said: “The Gaurs do not buy machines from ATAC on behalf of a customer. The customer sends money directly to ATAC and the supply comes to the customer directly. After machines arrive, the Gaurs and the ATAC team together do the installation and commissioning. After this all services related to spares, support, maintenance and servicing are done by the Gaurs.”

The Gaurs and the ATAC team envision that the next five years in India are going to be very exciting for both of them. Most of the customers who are looking for technical solutions to their laboratory requirements should be attracted to the ATAC products.
