Trident has announced additional investment and capacity expansion in Spinning, Weaving and Chemicals Business.
In Spinning, Trident currently has capacity of 5,89,248 spindles, 7,684 rotors, and 320 Airjet. Current capacity utilisation is 87%. The company is adding another 94,848 spindles at an investment of Rs. 546 crores. The additional capacity will be operational by September 2023.
In Weaving, Trident has 622 looms in the Bath linen segment with a current capacity utilisation of 61%. The company is adding 42 looms at an additional investment of Rs. 247 crores, which will be operational by June 2023.
In the Chemicals business, Trident currently has a capacity of 1,10,000 TPA with a utilisation of 97%. the company is planning to add an additional 2,15,000 tonnes per annum at an investment of Rs. 100 crores, which will be operational by March 2024.
