Mr. P.T. Muralidharan, General Manager- Marketing

Mr. P.T. Muralidharan, General Manager – Marketing, spoke to The Textile Magazine on the participation of his company in the upcoming show. He says: “Our company has been participating in the premier textile event since 2001. We look at ITMA as a window to European, Asian, Latin American and African countries in addition to Indian customers, to interact, view and experience our latest range of products. Global recognition for our products is the key benefit that Vetal has derived out of participating in the event regularly. This time we will be showcasing new range of spark and metal detectors with a wide range of applications. We will also be displaying the latest model of foreign material detector, contamination cleaning machine in cotton, at the exhibition.”

On the company’s expectations from the show, Mr. Muralidharan says: “Although the market is saturated, with new generation and technically superior models, we hope that ITMA 2019 will be a huge platform for us to showcase our world-class products to a global audience.”

Vetal has been performing well the current fiscal, almost 20-30% of its business is from exports. The new generation models like SLANT, exclusively meant for white PP detection and RAPPIDSCAN, for detecting all types of impurities, are doing very well in the markets. Almost all cotton spinning and garment manufacturing countries are its customers, which includes Bangladesh, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Turkey, along with many African, as well as Latin American countries.

Given the fact that Vetal is offering products in a highly competitive market, Mr. Muralidharan said: “Our price to performance ratio is very good. We have an entire spectrum of products suiting all range of applications. Two years back we started designing new generation models and we see now that about 50% of our sale happens in these models. While they may be expensive, they can compete with European products. Customers who have been using our products for almost 15 years now want to upgrade to these new models. Those who have gone in for local products, based on the price factor, also want to switch to our new models, realizing that they are not able to compete in the market anymore. Being pioneers in fundamental design, matching the world’s best products and meeting customer expectations are the advantages offered by Vetal.”

Vetal has state-of-the-art facilities with provision for scaling up as per demand. It has agents all over the world. “Our sales and service teams participate in major expos globally. Our service team is also available whenever the customers need them. We are located in Hall No. 6 and Stall No. A-106. An exciting range of products awaits visitors to our stall”, concludes Mr. Muralidharan.
