The group’s three spinning units produce 40 MT of cotton yarn per day of counts ranging from NE30s to NE80s. Similarly, the group’s knitting division features high speed automatic circular knitting machines, with a manufacturing capacity of 3650 MT. The processing division is equipped with the latest soft flow dyeing machines with a capacity of 4 tonnes / day. An exclusive printing facility is also available. Nearly 5000 pieces / day are printed using multi-color prints. Along with a pan-India presence, the company is also doing exports to 5 countries – Bangladesh, Peru, Morocco, Portugal and South Korea.

“We are already there. We are planning to expand the export market into a few more countries,” he stated.

Sabarinath mentioned that the company deals only with combed compact cotton. “All our spinning factories, they are combed Compact facilities. We have also been doing hosiery and weaving,” he mentioned.

The company has always pioneered sustainability initiatives. It has been using solar and windmill energy to power its mills. The company has windmills installed across Tamil Nadu to support its power requirement. The company also generates solar power. 100% of the company’s total power consumption is sourced from green power resources. “All our units work with green energy. We have wind and solar energy. Combined together we have 100 % captive power. We produce all the power that we require to run our factory,” he pointed out.

With respect to narrow woven fabric (undergarment elastic) tapes, the company has a production capacity of 2.85 crore metres. The company has been supplying 40% of the elastic requirements of Tirupur since 1988. Imported machines from Italy and Switzerland are highlights of our tape unit. Today, the company has emerged as the preferred choice for suppliers in Europe and the USA like Primark, Walmart, Tesco and many other Indian undergarment brands. OEKO – TEX Standard 100 Product Class I, SEDEX, GRS (GLOBAL RECYCLED STANDARDS), TQP (TRIMS SUPPLIER QUALIFICATION PROGRAM) CERTIFIED certification is a testimonial to the high standards maintained by the company.

Similarly, for knitting too, the company has got a range of imported machines, including machines for plain, matt, satin and rigid tapes. Imported yarn warping and rubber warping machines, as well as tape finishing machines, are part of its range.

The garmenting unit features the latest automated cutting machine. Other machine highlights include latest soft flow dyeing machines with a capacity of 4 tonnes/day printer which prints about 5000 pieces/day and a continuous dyeing and finishing machine (capacity 20 lakh meters per month), suited for both elastic and non-elastic tapes, completes the round-up.

When asked about the key reasons which make the company stand out Sabarinath mentioned, “Basically we are a cotton spinning mill. The cotton industry is suffering a lot for the past one year. No demand is picking up anywhere. As far as we are concerned, we are very clear about our quality. Price wise too we are competitive in the market. Whatever may be the issue, we never cut off quality. We are also focused on service and timely delivery, which keeps boosting demand and we keep growing.”

The group believes in giving back to the society. Some of its initiatives include contribution towards funding of schools in villages, extending medical assistance in rural areas and other social welfare activities. Contributing towards education of economically backward children. It has also been involved in afforestation drives in areas in and around Tirupur. Ambulance services have been provided to rural areas.

The group with about 3000 employees, with a turnover of Rs. 500 crores is expected to grow at a rate of 20% per year. The company has lined up exciting plans for the future.

“A new spinning facility with 1 lakh spindle capacity is expected to be operational during the 2nd quarter of 2024-2025. We plan to enter Technical Textiles, Vortex (MVS) in Rayan and Open End spinning. We hope this would become a reality soon,” Sabarinath signed off.
