Bhilosa Industries proposes ₹2,500-Crore investment in Madhya Pradesh

Proposed polyester manufacturing hub at Dhar’s PM MITRA Park could create 3,750 direct jobs and strengthen the state’s man-made fibre ecosystem.

Bhilosa Industries Private Limited (BIPL), one of India’s leading polyester yarn manufacturers, has proposed a phased investment of ₹2,500 crore in Madhya Pradesh to establish an integrated polyester manufacturing facility at the PM MITRA Park in Dhar district.

According to media reports, the project will begin with an initial investment of ₹2,500 crore, with commercial production targeted to commence in 2028. The proposed development is expected to generate approximately 3,750 direct employment opportunities.

The company is in the final stages of selecting around 300 acres at the park, including 200 acres for textile manufacturing and another 100 acres for supporting industrial units.

Building an Integrated Polyester Ecosystem

The proposed facility is expected to manufacture polyester yarn, fibres, knitted fabrics and man-made fibre-based non-garment textiles. The project could also encourage the development of ancillary industries, strengthening the regional textile supply chain and creating opportunities for smaller manufacturers and suppliers.

Located within the Dhar–Indore industrial belt, the proposed facility would add to Madhya Pradesh’s ambitions to develop an integrated textile manufacturing ecosystem through the PM MITRA initiative.

Strengthening Bhilosa’s Manufacturing Footprint

Bhilosa Industries has established a strong presence in India’s polyester value chain through continuous capacity expansion and backward and forward integration. Its product portfolio includes polyester textured yarn (PTY), partially oriented yarn (POY), fully drawn yarn (FDY), knitted fabrics and polyester staple fibre (PSF). The company currently operates manufacturing facilities in Silvassa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

The proposed Madhya Pradesh investment represents a significant expansion of its manufacturing footprint and could strengthen domestic polyester production while supporting the growth of downstream textile industries.

The investment proposal, project details and employment projections cited above are based on media reports and remain subject to the project’s implementation and associated approvals.
