The Bhiwandi’s textile industry associations have agreed to extend their full support to ITMACH 2014, the first-ever International Textile Machinery and Accessories Exhibition to be held in Bhiwandi during January 22-24.
At a conference held at the SASMIRA Powerloom Service Centre’s conference hall in Bhiwandi on October 25, the local textile industry associations such as the Halari Weavers Association, Bhiwandi Processors Association, Sizing Owners Association, Sonale Weavers Association, Padmanagar Weavers Association, Bhiwandi Textile Manufacturers Association and the Bhiwandi Weavers Federation, appreciated the first-of-its-kind initiative to hold an international textile machinery exhibition in Bhiwandi.
Addressing the session, Mr. Manchhalal K. Jain, promoter of Shree Daksh Jyot Silk Mills, observed: “Bhiwandi has a growing textile industry, and as it is taking to rapid modernization to remain competitive, the need for such an event in the city has been felt for some time now. Also, in spite of being a leading textile manufacturing hub, Bhiwandi has not received its due importance as yet. Such an event will focus on the Bhiwandi’s textile industry and help exchange of ideas and adoption of technology”.
The associations expressed their view that ITMACH 2014 would attract large participation as Bhiwandi is a popular textile hub connected to major textile centres with close proximity to India’s commercial capital, Mumbai.
