Focus on Indian Spinning Industry – Rajapalayam Mills

During 2015-16, Rajapalayam Mills increased its spindle capacity by 6,048 spindles and installed two units of open-end machines with a capacity of 576 rotors. Production of yarn has increased from 143.53 lakhs kg to 159.43 lakhs kg.

As a part of its continuous thrust on modernization and expansion programme, the company has invested about Rs. 13.52 crores for textile machinery & equipments like, carding machines, comber machines, ring spinning machines, auto coners, compact retrofit system for ring spinning machines, open-end spinning machines, draw frames, Uster Quantum III, contamination detecting machines, waste collection system, etc.

The company grew to an aggregate spindle capacity of 1,21,856 spindles (including 56,080 compact spinning spindles, 11,568 Eli-Twist spindles and 2,400 slub yarn spindles). The company also has 2,000 rotors in Rajapalayam and around 2,000 rotors in Andhra Pradesh.
