Manufacturing Facilities

SVP owns three units in Coimbatore, Palani, Madurai in Tamil Nadu for manufacturing polyester andcotton blended yarn. The company has now set up a textile manufacturing facility in the state of Rajasthan, at the RIICO Industrial Area in Dhanodi, District of Jhalawar.

Expansion Plans

SVP has recently commissioned its manufacturing facility of 1,00,000 spindles of compact cotton yarn in Jhalawar, Rajasthan with capital outlay of Rs. 450 crores and started production. The plant is regarded as the fastest constructed plant in Asia. The company is also implementing another manufacturing facility of 50,000 spindles compact cotton yarn and 2400 rotors at Jhalawar Rajasthan. For 2016-17, SVP is expected to further improve its performance as a result of the capacity addition. The company’s capacity will increase to 2,00,000 owned spindles as the new plant will produce high quality compact yarn of count 20 to 60s.

The plant is fully automated with 1,00,000 spindles holding a manufacturing capacity of 22,000 tonnes per annum and is spread across 25 acres of area.

Global Presence

SVP has also planned to set up a state-of-the-art cotton spinning mill with a total production capacity of 13.5 tons/day cotton yarn in Kombolcha (Ethiopia) and plans to setup a 7,000 rotor cotton yarn manufacturing plant at Screven County of Georgia. In Georgia it has acquired 68 acres of land, which has been surveyed, graded, and is pad ready. The unit will manufacture a range of different counts of carded cotton yarn ranging from 6 to 30, and production will remain flexible in order to meet the market demand. The sales markets for the output yarn will be the free trade areas of Central and South America, as well as China.

The gross turnover of the company for the Financial Year 2015-16 stood at Rs. 1784.13 crores.
